We enjoyed the house. The interior was recently renovated, clean, with current amenities (including washer/dryer) and plenty of windows. It was a great setup for our family with 6 different beds in 3 rooms. A great big deck to sit quietly on the adirondacks and just watch the birds hunting around the bay. We played games at the big dining table.
It was a quick drive in the neighborhood to the Gulf beach, or to a county beach at San Luis pass. We spent time at the neighborhood beach-- the kids really enjoyed it. The neighborhood is right at the San Luis pass with a toll bridge to Galveston island. We spent time at the state park and drove in to Galveston for museums and restaurants.
The hosts gave us all the information we needed-- the house was well-stocked and easy to come in and out.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this beach house. The owners have done an amazing job making their rental accommodating and welcoming to guests. It was very comfortable there and had a relaxing atmosphere. We were also only 5 minutes or so from the beach. Which was surprisingly not packed. Even took the time to walk the trail. Also we were close to Galveston(much cheaper to pay bridge toll) and had a great time walking The Strand and visiting the shops. We had the best of experiences and will definitely be renting again.

My husband and I came here for a little getaway for our 22nd anniversary. Salt and Light is a place where you can come to relax, watch the beautiful sunsets from the back porch and enjoy the peace that brings! Many other things to do but we stayed in most of our time here. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable and we were so thankful for the cleanliness and all the extras that are provided. Would highly recommend this place to others and stay here again in the future!
