This was our second time staying at the cabin, and we absolutely love it. The location, the cabin, the trails, everything is wonderful about this rental. We will definitely be staying here again.

This cabin is perfect for a family looking to do a remote getaway, but still have amenities and nice restaurants close by. The basement space, which has its own deck, would be great for spending family time together playing games. My husband and I stayed for App State’s family weekend, so we didn’t get to enjoy as much as we would have liked and when the kids came back with us, they were too tired from the football game to have a fire in the fire pit or play games downstairs. We were hoping they would get up early enough to hike the woods which has several trails, but, well, they are teenagers.
The gravel lane down to get to the cabin can be a little hairy, so take it slow, especially around the large rocks at the hairpin turns. We did not feel comfortable having our 19 year old daughter to drive it, so my husband drove her car in and out.
Again, we wished we had more down time to enjoy all this property has to offer.

Place is very clean and well equipped all around; kitchen, entertainment, linens, etc. Very convenient to hiking trails and downtown Blowing Rock was an easy 5 min drive. Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the water babbling in the background. We enjoyed smores by the fire pit every night. We had a fabulous stay!
