Overall, I really like the location, decor, and price. It's all we needed for our Ski and Winter Hiking Trip. I am saying now I would stay again even though I am doing a 3 star. In the beginning I had to reach out for code to the home. I did this around 1:30 pm, Nothing came through until around 2:45 (arrived 3:15pm) however, I could not receive emails due to the areas service. I am not sure if my message initiated them to send the code, or if it was an automated email. I would just note this for future incoming guest on when that information goes out to them.Other small things were that we had to buy sponges to clean our dishes. Small thing, but I find that it should be available as we need to clean them before we leave. We also purchased coffee. I just never been to a VRBO who doesn't have it, and that just be a me thing. Also, we arrived to find garbage scattered among the lower driveway. Clearly animals did get into it, but if the cabin was just cleaned / rented out I would think that would not have occurred. Just looked bad, and doesn't help the environment with trash blowing around, beer bottles..etc. Just recommend a better garbage that has a topper to close..etc. More important, one of the bedroom doors does not lock completely for privacy. It can be easily pushed open. Also, the fire pit even when a small fire, and damper is open does smoke the home to a degree I have never encountered. It may be due to the chimney needing to be cleaned. Unsure, but please look into this as our eyes were burning. We all have years of experience with fireplaces and own them. This all sounds tedious, but I am letting you all know so you can update these little things for your future customers and continue to provide a great cabin and location to them all! All coming from a VRBO owner perspective.
