Located a few minutes from town and about 10 minutes from Bromley and some nice hiking spots made this a perfect location for us. The option for us to bring our dog was wonderful — there was plenty of space to set up his crate and walk him around on the property.

The house was spacious and well appointed. Our host Jim was very responsive to a couple of minor issues. The location is spectacular, with easy access to hiking, shopping, and dining options. As a bonus, the Southern Vermont Art Center is a short drive away. We saw a fabulous exhibit there and spent a fun afternoon wandering the outdoor sculpture garden. In short, a great house to rent!

We had a great stay in Manchester. Jim was incredibly helpful, including interrupting his Thanksgiving celebration to help us find the Football games on TV. The house was clean and freshly renovated with many new appliances and furniture. We had fabulous dinners at Raven's Den Steakhouse and Seasons Restaurants, a tour of the Lincoln family summer house that was enjoyed by kids, parents and grandparents and a fun hike to the Lye Brook falls.
