Camera 1 is located by the driveway facing the driveway. Camera 2 is above the front door facing the entryway. Camera 3 is on the deck facing the hot tub. Camera 3 is in place to monitor bears and monitor the hot tub lid to prevent freezing. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video when activated by motion to provide a safe and secure environment without intruding on your stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was quaint and quiet and had all the amenities we needed. Communication with the host was seamless and prompt. We were having issues warming up the hot tub and contacted the manager who sent instructions on how to it up right away. We were also allowed a late check out which was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our quick stay, and especially the quiet nature of the area. We loved the hot tub (surprised you don’t showcase this in the photos, it has amazing views of mt. Silverheels)
The good: great space, amenities and well stocked. Great setup for the dogs with closed off deck
The cons: a little dated kitchen and furniture but all functional and comfy.
An active wasps nest was found under the hot tub.
All in all, highly recommend and would consider staying again.

Grandma/mom, son and two grandsons spent an awesome weekend at Higher Ground. The attention to detail at this beautiful cabin was outstanding.
We fished, explored Fairplay during Burro Days, visited Leadville and rode the train. Fishing and panning for gold on the South Platte river at Fairplay Beach was the highlight.
We agreed that we would return in the future.

The views are amazing! We stayed as a family to ski during spring break. It was not too far from everything and the town is so cozy! They house is complete for your vacation no need to pack anything but your personal clothing. The hosts have thought of every detail! There are so many extras from cookies at check in to binoculars to look at mountains. It was the perfect vacation! Thank you so much for making our stay amazing!
