Enjoyed our stay! Wonderful cottage on the water. What a view, we saw loons and seals from the porch! Close to MDI and Schoodic.

We enjoyed our stay. Home had everything we needed. There is no washer/dryer but plenty of laundromats in town. Owner was helpful and very responsive with any questions we had.
Kayaks are available to rent for the week (we had one delivered to the house). We took several trips to Acadia to hike and also visited Bar Harbor.

It is a lovely homey place. The view is terrific. It is smaller than pictures make you think but it was plenty of room for us. There were four of us there. Really we didn't spend a lot of time there because we were out sightseeing. You do need to go out on the porch to access the full bath and two bedrooms but we didn't see it as a problem.

I want to start off with the good points. The view from the back did not disappoint. I enjoyed getting up early and drinking my coffee, watching the seagulls catching crabs and fighting with each other. They were quite entertaining. I looked forward to that each day we were there. The location was great. There is a hidden gem right down the road called Tidal Falls that we went to everyday. With that being said, I was very disappointed with the house. The set up is very weird. The front house and the back house are two separate entities. You have to walk onto the back porch to get to the other half of the house. The "front house" had a smell. Not exactly sure what it was but it was weird and not exactly pleasant. The bed in the back bedroom, the one that has the sliding glass doors, was extremely uncomfortable. It was very broken down and you slide to the center. The couch had animal hair covering the majority of it. We did not sit on the cloth furniture due to that. The listing said no pets so that was a big put off right from the start. We paid a lot of money to stay here and I feel like we would have been more comfortable and saved money to stay in a local hotel. I hate leaving this review as the owner was very nice. It has potential if some issues are addressed and I hope they are for future guests.
