Perfect place to stay for our vacation! Alot of little details we appreciated, magnified mirror in bathroom! Spices in kitchen, corn hole to play outside on porch! Bed was very comfortable with extra pillows! Hot tub was so relaxing. The place was very clean and we hope to some day rebook!
10.0 / 10.0
The week was wonderful! From the start we were treated to a clean comfortable home, a fully equipped kitchen, a new grill (A real bonus) and a hot tub ready for use. The views from the porch were wonderful, but the best was at sunset. We will be back next year!!!

Wonderful view and very clean!
4.0 / 10.0
The house got us by for the week, but health and safety concerns were prominent. There were exposed electrical wires to light fixture. An uncovered electrical outlet by the head of the bed and another one in the bed room. Not safe.
We also kept smelling what seemed to be raw sewage only to find there was an exposed sewage pipe with no lid by the driveway. Smelly and unacceptable. Was very disappointed with condition of the cabin.
On a positive note the mountain view was pleasant and the hot tub was a plus. The cabin was clean and its about 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge.

We loved this cabin!!! It was absolutely beautiful!!!

This cabin was perfect for what we needed it for…to relax!! Location was great to be able to get down to the fun things to do around town. And to soak in a hot bath in that big bathtub was absolutely awesome!! No worries about running out of hot water!!!! Everything you need is in the cabin to be able to cook your own meals. We really enjoyed ourselves!!

Arrived on 6/21/22 I will say the directions were a little confusing once we got to the resort, directions told us to go to the left and actually we had to go right but we found it. Cabin was awesome very clean and comfortable. Very peaceful, enjoyed our stay very much.
10.0 / 10.0
We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff and owner were so helpful. Whatever issue that we had, and there weren't many, were resolved quickly. There is a sweet spirit in that cabin. I have to say that the last hill leading to the cabin is a doozy, but any auto can handle it. Honestly we did not want to leave, and we will surely be returning very soon. Wife and I were on our anniversary and the peace and quiet was splendid Joy. We recommend this cabin to anyone who will respect it!
6.0 / 10.0
While we enjoyed our overall stay at the cabin, there are things that need improvement to make it a better, more comfortable stay in the future.
Postives
-plenty of starter supplies, towels, linens, etc.
-Hot tub
-Parking was easy to get in and out
-Ice maker
-2 bathrooms
-Location is secluded and an ok drive to Pigeon Forge; longer for Gatlinburg
Negatives
-outdated(front gate was hard to open and close, found lots of random nails or sharp edges in opening that and the front screen door, among other places)
-Very squeaky sofa bed
-Very squeaky and uncomfortable queen upstairs bed
-Outdated everything-appliances, decor, beds, furniture, indoor and outdoor asthetics, games
-Road up to the cabin had lots of potholes, so you need to drive between 3-5 mph if you don't want damage to your car(somehow I got a scratch anyways on my new car-probably from branches sticking out on the path up to cabin)
-Pond is a long walk down and up, so we didn't use, although we did bring fishing poles. Maybe have a spot or two allocated for parking there to use?
-Bugs everywhere(to be expected, but found lots of dead spiders in sofabed-glad my kids didn't see)
Also, saw a kids toy hot wheels down below the sofabed, in case someone previously who stayed is missing it
-View wasnt that great, didn't sit in porch swing, as you couldn't see much

This place was all it said it would be. Tucked away in the woods to get away from the crowds in Gatlinburg but close enough to enough trails that you could escape seeing anyone. There were 3 of us so we used the air mattress and it did not seem to stay inflated for the whole evening but it worked well enough for my son. I didn’t need to contact the property manager when I was there so can’t say how responsive he is but since everything was as it said it would b there was no reason to contact him. It’s just a really cute and cozy cottage to escape to. Would definitely book again if we go back to the Smokey’s

The cabin was great. Extremely clean and perfect for two people. (We also had our dog with us). If you bring your dog just know there isn't grass to walk them. We ended up driving our pup to Wear City park which was close and really nice. We also ran into bears going to and from the fishing pond. So be cautious, you are in the mountains after all! And, the walk back up to the house is steep if you aren't used to hiking.
The house itself was clean and we would absolutely rent it again. The owner was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for a getaway for two. The hot tub was clean as were the bathrooms and bedroom. Bring charcoal if you are planning on using the grill. There is a country store close if you need it which is where we bought ours. The property is also quiet and we never heard the surrounding cabins. Really an amazing little spot.

If you want a remote location this is it. It's small and perfect for a couple's retreat from the real world. Everything was perfect. The only thing I would like to see changed is the TV in the bedroom. It's a bit outdated. Then again I didn't go for watching TV. This was an amazing trip. I look forward to doing it again extra year..

My husband and I enjoy the quiet, cozy atmosphere of this cabin. It offers the country feel with being close to town. We actually spent our honeymoon here 15 years ago and wanted to revisit. The cabin hasn't changed any. It's been really taken care of. We would like to return again!!!

We enjoyed our stay at mountain rose & it was beautiful weather whole we were here we checked out The Apple Barn Winery & Restaurant, the food was delicious! We went to the Island & visited the shops, rode the wheel & had our characture drawn. We visited Cade's Cove & had lunch at the Smokey Mtn. Brewery. The rest of the time we hing out at the cabin & enjoyed the view. Its so peaceful here that we hate to leave & go back to the city. The bed is really comfortable but we think the couch isn't as nice. Overall a perfect getaway & we hope to return soon.

Our family loved staying in the Mountain Rose! It is perfectly located to all the amenities Gatlinburg/Sevierville has to offer. We were only in the cabin to sleep, most of our days were spent exploring this wonderful town. The kids slept on the pull out couch and it was big enough to keep them separated while sleeping. We all wanted to have the experience of staying in a cabin vs. a hotel and we achieved that cozy feeling here. Never seen a bear here just skinks, bunnies and turkies (skunk too). Our kids are 11 and 14 - we went ziplining twice - White water rafting with smoky mountain whitewater rafting - Rented a UTV at Smoky Mountain Premier RV Resort - Toured Cades Cove - Ate at the Alamo Paula Deen - Mets Diner - Hatfield and McCoys was fun - Toured Forbidden Caverns - Ole Smoke Moonshine for the adults - Wonder Works - Applewood farmhouse was so good - The Island - Dicks Last Resort was crazy but fun - JT Hannahs was great! Flapjacks was terrible.
The Cabin was exactly like the pictures online. That to me was exactly what I was hoping for. The rocking chairs on the porch is where I spent most evenings just listening to nature.
We are from Florida so to be able to sit on an open porch and not get eaten alive by bugs was my favorite! We never got to use the hot tub or sunken tub upstairs. Maybe next time we can come in the fall when the heat index here isn't at 100 degrees!
Thanks again,
Michelle, Tom, Devin and Taylor

This was our first trip to the Pigeon Forge area. We loved the location of the cabin and the ease of access to and from town. We will definitely be staying in the Wears Valley area again. The cabin was nice and cozy for a couple to stay in and we were glad to find a pet friendly cabin with a view. The gated porches were nice for our pets as well. It rained profusely on our first day their and we did notice a leak in the game room. We also were not able to get the fireplace to light, which would have been nice in the mornings. It also sounded like some birds had nested above the fireplace(maybe in the eaves), because we could hear them at night. All in all it was a great little get-a-way for the two of us and we would stay there again. Adam & Jessica.

Screens were torn on the doors. we called to notify the person about it. the toilet seats need to be replaced as they slide left to right. The door lock quit working so we couldn't lock the door. Other than that the cabin was great! Enjoyed the cabin and scenery very much.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was extremely hot the whole time but the cabin was always nice and cool. Everything was as stated so no complaints there. However, the cabin does need some TLC. While this is not the responsibility of the owner, the road has some bad spots that move you almost off the road. Be careful in the winter. It can be a steep ascent.
When we arrived I noticed some of the screens on the door were broken and a previous party had taken the steps to try and close the gaps with thumb tacks. I tried to close the gaps as well and did an ok job, but some new screens are in order. The same goes for the upstairs balcony. The screen was broken the most there and the door didn't close at all so the interior door stayed closed the whole time. On that note, the housekeeper could do better. We found plenty of dog hair and spider webs were within easy reach in the main room. This part is a product of the environment, but could possibly be related to the screens. We found a dead lizard in one of the closets which freaked out my wife pretty bad. The lizards kept to themselves (outside) the rest of our stay.
Entertainment: While the pool table was nice, there's only one pool cue which is starting to warp. We didn't use the XBOX so I can't review that. There was a kinda old selection of DVDs and VHS tapes scattered throughout the cabin but we didn't watch them. The upstairs cable box needs immediate attention. The coax input to the converter has a broken solder and needs replacement. Comcast doesn't charge for this so there's no reason it can't be done with minimal trouble. I'm an engineer so I did a field repair that kept it in working condition for our stay, but it won't hold forever.
Beds: Fantastic. You can't beat the memory foam. I had an excellent night's sleep every time. Our daughter found the couch more comfortable than the pull-out bed but it felt ok to me.
Bathrooms: We used the downstairs bathroom for showering. I don't see how you could use the jacuzzi shower head for a traditional shower. Nobody used the jacuzzi tub so no review there. IMPORTANT: Both toilets need repair. The flapper valve on both stick and are constantly stopping and starting. A BAD waste of water/septic.
When we left, we were delayed be several dozen bumble bees on the porch with what sounded like many, many, many more beneath the deck.
We'll stay there if we get to the area again. It's a GREAT view and very relaxing.

My husband and 2 small kids wanted a little get away. We wanted it to be close enough to the attractions but felt like we were in the mountains. This cabin was PERFECT for us. There is not one bad thing I can say..location, view and feel of the cabin was just right. Totally loved the hot tub overlooking th mountain! Definitely going back!!

We had a Wonderful "Get Away"!! Our plan was to Relax and get away from the Hustle & Bustle of work and home drama & I have to say.... Mission Accomplished :)
This was our 1st vacation together in almost 9 years that didn't involve softball tournaments or some sort of SCHEDULE...
We're looking forward to staying longer next time as we only left the cabin for Dinner Out Saturday evening we didn't get to Gattlinburg or The Smokies, but we did get to rest, Maybe we'll get to see & do more if we stay longer!!
I made great use of the Hot Tub and the Jacuzzi Tub which was wonderfully quiet & peaceful with great view!
Thanks So Much to the Very Friendly Staff & Many Blessings
