We have stayed in many VRBO and home rentals by Evolve. This one was not one of our better experiences. There were good and not so good things about the rental. When we arrived the garbage and recycle bins were overflowing next to the driveway. Not a good first impression. Then once we were inside the rental we checked around the rooms and discovered the master bedroom on the first floor was missing part of the blinds. The fan/light fixture in the family room was not working until we discovered the pulls had been switched off and my husband had to stand on a chair to reach them to turn them back on. The towels were barely thick enough to use, (we ended up buying some), and were left damp on the beds by the cleaning crew, so we had to put them in the dryer before we could use them. There were no hand towels or Kleenex in the bathrooms, (we ended up buying some towels and kleenex), but there were paper towels in all the bathrooms and kitchen. The toilet paper was ample in all the bathrooms and it was a good thickness. The bathroom fan was not working in the downstairs master. There was a tower fan which we used to cool/dry off the bathroom. No hair dryer was provided (the amenities stated there would be one) so we had to buy one. They gave us about 6 Keurig pods and creamers and a few bottles of water in the fridge. The cooking utensils were sparse, (no strainer or serrated knives). The table and counters were sprayed with an oily spray like pledge – the table had a formica top – so we had to clean everything to get the oil off before we could use it. There were some spices, oil, syrup and some basics like sugar and flour. There were 2 smoke detectors missing from upstairs, but there was a third in the twin bedroom. Although the Property Manager (Donald) was notified about everything and sent photos, the response was “Sorry for the inconvenience.” He did get permission for us to park on the lawn when we had two cars at the rental. The ipad was beeping and we were told it was low batteries on the security cameras, it did stop eventually. The last impression wasn’t great as we received a text at 4:30 am the day of departure asking us to fill out a review. Donald from Oasis Management was nice, but it’s obvious he or the company doesn’t take time to repair or physically check on the property.
