About this cabin rental
Welcome to our cozy little Nut Hut. This lakefront house is just a few steps down to the private dock, big flat yard and covered patio. There is tons of room to play yard games (there are yard games available) and enjoy a campfire near the lake or up by the cabin. The kitchen is full stocked with most anything you would need to cook with. There is a Trager grill available for use. The sunroom overlooks the lake where you can enjoy a book from our book house. The public boat launch and county park is located just down the road.The Chetak chain of lakes has 3,797 acres and 66 miles of lakeshore with beautiful sunsets and sunrises, a variety of wildlife, frequently including an eagle soaring and many other scenic attractions. Fish on this chain of lakes include: Northern pike, walleye, bluegill, crappie, sunfish, large and smallmouth bass. There is also a public beach and kids park in Chetek.The Chetek area offers many attractions such as: restaurants and pubs (both on and off the lake),hiking trails, ATV trails, museums, parks, stock car races, shopping, golf. Most weekends in the summer Chetek or a surrounding city has some kind of fun festival happening. Twice a week during the summer you can see the amazing Chetek Hydro flights water ski team ski show. If you are a winter outdoor enthusiast, you will enjoy snowmobiling, snow shoeing, skiing and some great ice fishing. You will also have access to thousands of acres of public hunting land.

We had a wonderful experience staying here! Our host was very accommodating and she gave us all the information about the lake and surrounding area that made our stay enjoyable. The cabin is an excellent place to stay. We absolutely loved our trip here!

The location was at the end of the channel that collected algae so no swimming. The property has been neglected inside and out. Weeds and unmoved grass. Walkways and steps were covered with leaves and dirt. The kitchen and bathrooms had to be cleaned before we felt comfortable using. The floors were dirty throughout. Couldn’t get the grill to work. Despite all this we had a good week with our family get together. We rented a pontoon from Outers Resort (they were great!). Swimming at the city park and sand bars. Fishing early in the morning was peaceful.
