The communal spaces on the top floor are surrounded by 360 degrees of jungle canopy, giving you a sense of floating amongst the trees. The terraces are thoughtfully designed to offer a variety of lounge spaces, each catering to different moods and perspectives of the surrounding jungle. We had a wonderful stay at Rick's house and overall had an amazing time. The home is beautifully designed w/ AC in every room & keypad-secured bedrooms, which made us feel very comfortable and safe. The bedrooms are 2-3 short flights of stairs down, so something to note for anyone w/ mobility concerns. The pool was perfect after long days of excursions, & having a washer/dryer on site was helpful, especially after ATV rides. The cleaning service during our stay was fantastic.The personal chef service with Jose and his family was great. They were warm, accommodating, and the food was wonderful. They even cooked for our group of 8 when the power and water went out.There were a few logistical hiccups. Communication/timeliness with the concierge could be improved. It was difficult finding the house initially. We didnt learn about a much closer path to the beach until our 4th day, which would have been helpful to know sooner. The airport shuttle that was arranged was disappointing after a long travel day. We were told there would be water, snacks & Wi-Fi, but none were available, & the pickup required a much longer walk than expected.The week we were there was unusually windy, and the power went out at least once/day, leading to some hot nights when the AC wasn’t running. This was out of anyone’s control. We rented golf carts locally; they did the job, but the roads are very bumpy, so consider higher-quality carts.Overall, we loved the house and our stay at Terrace House!
