Appartement très bien situé, proche de tout, avec balcon et une superbe terrasse sur le toit. Très calme et confortable. Marta est très réactive.

The apartment is lovely, and ideally located in the centre of the historic district. It was great to escape the crowds of tourists and pop back to our own terrace for lunch! The host, Marta, was very friendly and helpful but, being based in Spain, was not ideally placed to manage and supervise any issues onsite.

We found the facilities to be different to the Booking.com listing, and not as we'd expected: There was only COLD water throughout, apart from one shower (in the ensuite, slightly warm but not really) and the shower knob fell off the wall as soon as we touched it; basin "pop up" plug was jammed shut in the plughole, so we couldn't use that basin. The listing included a TV and Nespresso ( nowhere to be found) and dishwasher did not work. When we contacted Marta she was very apologetic and explained that there are frequent power surges which damage electrical equipment. There is no water heater and the TV was offsite being repaired. She told us the dishwasher has a "do not use" notice on it ( see photo! Very faint and old writing so clearly broken for a long time). She arranged a Handyman to come and fix the various plumbing issues. On the 3rd visit he fitted a new electric shower head, in the bathroom. We believed the installation to be unsafe as there were exposed electrical wires, from the heating element inside the showerhead and running along the outside of the metal water pipe to the wall. We videoed water pouring along these exposed wires. We informed Marta and sent the video and she immediately offered to send the Handyman back again. We were leaving the next day, so we declined. I believe the installation to be dangerous, but I don't think a Guest should have to assess this ! I have since reported it to Booking.com ( suggesting a Safety/ electrical Compliance Inspection) but they just forwarded my complaint to the Host. The apartment is nice, but that's no consolation if it's not safe. We stayed in 4 other places, in Colombia, without these issues.
