    What an incredible experience. From the second we entered the gate. The staff were exceptional. The accommodation was 6 star. My only issues with our room was 1. The pool and patio area. Buffalo 1 - was shaded the entire day. Not a drop of sun. And no view. 2.There should be screen doors up so you can keep insects and the monkeys out as we wanted to here nature e.g if lions were roaring at night. Our Ranger was very hands-on and knowledgeable. What we did find was the the CB radio was too loud much of the time and when we were at a sighting there was too much communication between the rangers at the actual sighting. As the reserve in pretty new there is not much in the way of game. Its very unusual to not have a sighting of an elephant. The food was went from absolutely outstanding to ok.

    Our room was beautiful, with a big comfortable bed, big bathroom with bath and shower, outside deck with plunge pool & outdoor shower. We enjoyed all our meals at the lodge with a lot of drinks included in your stay. I have seen a few reviews mention no lunch but there is plenty of food on offer that you don’t need lunch. There is a continental style breakfast on offer prior to the early morning game drives, followed by Breakfast on return, then high tea served before the game drives which is more than sufficient to act as your lunch. We had one 3 course dinner which was delicious and a brai the next night which was good but we preferred the 3 course style better. Our game drives with Damian were fantastic, he was very knowledgeable so could answer any of our questions and he was just a really great guy to chat with He also asked how our stay was going. I mentioned that it would be great to have some hot chocolate sachets in our room as I don’t drink coffee or tea. We returned to our rooms and he’d organised for staff to put some in there. Added bonus was the golf carts to take you to and from your rooms and complimentary laundry which was returned so quickly . Bit of confusion with the mini bar, booklet in room says it’s at an additional cost yet we found out on the last day it was included.
