Not sure where to start…perhaps by questioning the evaluation of this apartment. It is true, the apartment is in a very nice location, close to Yaiza and the Timanfaya National Park but also to Playa Blanca and the signature beach, Playa Papagayo. The apartment features a spacious patio from which you can enjoy a view of the ocean and the sunset, if the weather is clement. There is also a swimming pool that is shared with the guests staying in the other three apartments. Also, the check-in procedure is quite easy and the host is responsive: we had issues with the bed sheets not being exactly fresh, and they came in after a couple of hours to change them. Other than that, the apartment did not live up to the expectations at all.

The level of cleanliness of the apartment was totally insufficient. My girlfriend is allergic to dust and for the reason, we try to select accommodations with very positive reviews about the cleaning level, but this was not the case this time. You could tell that the apartment had not been cleaned properly in the last couple of weeks - at least - before our arrival. The bathroom is a nightmare. There is a constant sewage smell coming from all drains even if you keep them close. The shower does not flush the water properly and the showerhead is broken in the middle which means that the water goes everywhere without a proper direction. There is a sort of window on the roof which cannot be open and there is only a curtain between the bathroom and the bedroom. The kitchen is totally unequipped and the fridge is broken along with most of the lights inside and outside the apartment. Overall, the apartment needs some refreshment and renovation.
