Casa Veche Breb

The home is traditional and showcases beautiful cultural aspects of Muramureş. Ana was so lovely, and we enjoyed getting to talk with her. We would recommend the half-board option just for that reason alone, but she is also an amazing cook, and the food was delicious! The room itself was great. Despite being traditional, it was filled with all of the amenities that Americans like us would expect, and the shower was pretty neat. Outside the house, they had set up a traditional water well, a nice handmade swinging bench, and a large bale of hay (again, set up traditionally). This is a great house if you want to immerse yourself in the culture of Maramureş, or just to have a retreat away from the normal rhythms of life. The town of Breb, small and quaint, was a breath of fresh air to walk around in. Maybe a little touristy in spots, but still very rural Maramureş. We enjoyed visiting the local woodcarver.

We have no bad things to say about the property. It was lovely.

En solo dos días Ana nos hizo sentir parte de su familia. La casa, el pueblo, la tranquilidad que se respira... son espectaculares, pero sobre todo valoramos el trato recibido con unos desayunos y cenas increíbles. Además Ana habla un español perfecto. Se nos hizo muy corto y volveríamos mil veces Gracias Ana por ser tan especial! Susi y Luis

Casa Veche is amazing! The beautiful traditional house was exactly what we were hoping to find in Breb. When we first arrived and saw the front porch covered in red flowers and then entered and saw the traditional decor, we knew we had made the right choice. But the best discovery was host Anna herself. She is a true treasure. Her heart, her hard work, and her love for the history and tradition of Breb and Maramures are what make this stay truly exceptional. We also arranged to have Anna prepare our breakfasts and dinners. The food was excellent and we were shocked to discover that the butter, bread, and most of the sausages and cheeses were made by Anna. Wow! We loved this stay. Some additional details: parking easily available, the house was very quiet, bed was great, bathroom was great, everything was clean and comfortable.

Ana s’est distinguée par son sens de l’accueil, de l’hospitalité et par sa sympathie pendant tout le séjour. Un vrai plaisir ! La vieille maison a beaucoup de charme et est d’une absolue propreté. La chambre, décorée avec un grand soin, était très confortable. La formule demi-pension était particulièrement pratique et, comme déjà mentionné pas d’autres, les portions sont très généreuses.
