Pleasant but not great value for what you pay.

Staff were great, lots of natural light during the mornings and afternoons out on the decking.

Everything needs updating and maintenance, the decking, the outdoor cushions were all mouldy and some were missing, the floors in the villa were all cracked and need repair and painting, the kitchen needs replacing, and the bathroom needs work. Bathroom glass was really dirty and the air conditioner leaked all over my clothes and suitcase… twice. They sent someone to fix it both times and arranged to have most of my clothes washed by the next day as I was leaving but it wasn’t ideal. They don’t have a dry cleaner so some of my clothes that were really expensive silk were stained with brown water. No compensation or discount was offered unfortunately.

The photos do not reflect how much older the property is. The upstairs outdoor bath does not work There are huge gaps under the doors letting bugs & caterpillars into the house

Terrible management; lack of security with attempted break-in

Attempted burglary occurred while I was in the villa which management handled horribly; lack of privacy, no villa security cameras and exposure to surrounding area makes it extremely easy for break-ins - which is exactly what happened while I was there. An individual tried breaking into the villa while I was present, of which he ran away after I confronted him. Management did little to assure safety or a solution for the situation (1x security guard was expected to stay outside my villa for protective measures, only for me to find him sleeping in the guard house 1 hour later), and after negotiating a 1x night stay - they attempted not to reimburse me and blocked my account.

Definitely the best villa I have stayed in Bali

Villa was much more beautiful and flawless than I expected. I had an amazing time there. I will definitely turn back. The only disadvantage if you come by bike - the road isn’t fine.

Okay experience

The accomodation was gorgeous, the pool was lovely, the staff were friendly. The location was not hard to get to and was more secluded than most accomodation around Canggu area.

The air-conditioning was not working in my room and it was boiling. It was very uncomfortable, the bathroom smelt pretty bad and the toilet was not bolted down properly. They neglected to tell me that next to my villa there was construction so I had no privacy when I was trying to relax in the pool as the workers were looking straight into my villa. The staff were great at trying to accomodate around the air-conditioning issue, but honestly for the price I paid to stay at Makali Village, I would have expected a much better experience.

My partner and I loved it here. Had a great vibe, it was relaxing and staff were amazing. The pool was fresh water and bigger than expected. Ample outdoor seating with sun all day. Can't fault it.

I'm a light sleeper but I found the bar fridge a little loud but it didn't effect my partner in the slightest.

Séjour exceptionnel au calme

Superbe villa, à quelques pas seulement de la rue principale. L’emplacement est idéal si on souhaite être à 5-10 minutes à pied de nombreux restaurants, cafés, boutiques. Comme les villas sont à quelques pas de la rue principale, il n’y a pas de nuisances (scooters, motos, voitures). Le personnel était très gentil et aux petits soins, très disponible pour le moindre besoin. Un grand parking est à disposition juste devant si besoin pour les scooters. La piscine est grande, les lits confortables et il y a même des chargeurs sans fil mis à disposition.

Les matelas extérieurs sont très salissants. Mais en posant des linges par-dessus, on peut en profiter. Il manquerait peut-être aussi des chaises longues mais c’est un détail.

Via Booking werden niet de juiste afbeeldingen getoond. Bij aankomst kregen wij een andere villa dan dat wij dachten geboekt te hebben. Hierdoor waren we teleurgesteld bij aankomst. De staff gaf aan dat dit probleem zich vaker voordoet bij gasten die via booking boeken.
