Homie Suites - Turna Residences in Cihangir

The property is extremely well located, in a relatively quieter street steps from Istiklal and Cihangir. Having a garden terrace was super lovely. Like other reviewers, I wish the table was cleaned more and a little more welcoming with some cushions. The apartment was much bigger than appeared in the photos which was a welcome surprise. Bathroom facilties and heating worked well. Bed was super comfortable and bedroom had blackout blinds in case of the need to sleep longer. Apartment was generally clean and comfortable.

Pots and pans had nonstick coating that was extremely scratched, also likely due to the tools all being metal: not a good combination and not safe to cook with, so we were disappointed with the kitchen. Bedroom could use lighter privacy blinds that are not completely light blocking so that in addition to the blackout blinds, it could be possible to be in the space with some privacy without being extremely dark. We had to ask to change the iron multiple times, as the first iron was dirty and had only a British plug with no converter, then the second one delivered was also unclean. The host responded promptly each time to fix this. There could be more hangers: a handful of hangers for two people for 5 days is too little. There were a lot of bumps on the walls, as another reviewer had mentioned, that looked strange; I asked if this was mold and the host said it was a paint job that needed to be fixed. I hope that this will be fixed because they looked concerning and paint is coming off of the walls. Cleanliness could be improved a bit, as I saw a couple cobwebs here and there in the apartment from the ceiling, but overall very clean.

The outdoor terrace was a great addition to the apartment. Location, location, location.

Das Apartment liegt wirklich günstig in einem Stadtteil mit vielen Restaurants, Cafés, Supermärkten und kleinen Läden. Man erreicht rasch Bus- und S-Bahn- Haltestellen. Die Wohnung bietet ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit Küchenzeile, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, Nachttischen, Schrank und Spiegeln, eine Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln und ein an den Flur mit Waschmaschine angrenzendes innen liegendes Bad mit Dusche, WC und Waschbecken. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert und die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig. Spülmaschine und Mikrowelle lassen sich einfach bedienen. Ein großes Fernsehgerät bietet u.a. Netflix und Prime Video. Prima fand ich den kontaktlosen Check-in und Check-out mit Tür- und Schlüsselkasten-Code!

Im Badezimmer gab es zur Entlüftung ein älter anmutendes Fenster zu einem Schacht, das wohl auch etliche Vorgänger aus Angst vor "Getier" nicht geöffnet hatten. Somit wies der Rahmen schwarze feuchte Stellen auf und im Raum selbst war es sehr warm. Wir ließen die Tür zum Gang auf. Doch dort führte unter den Fliesen ein Strang Kabel entlang, der den Eindruck vermittelte, es gäbe Fußbodenheizung. Die Pfannen in der Küche waren schmutzig. Es gab leider keine Geschirr-Trockentücher. Auf meine Nachricht hin, kam der Vermieter und brachte Küchenrollen. Ein großes Manko stellt m.E. die fehlende "Anleitung" rund um die Wohnung dar (z.B. Möglichkeiten, den Müll zu entsorgen erst auf Anfrage erfahren; WC-Papier in die Toilette oder den Badmülleimer?; Umgang mit den zahlreichen Katzen auf der Terrasse; Betätigen der vorhandenen Geräte...).
