About this cottage rental
Relax & enjoy the beautiful sunsets with family & friends on this beautiful 2 acres property with 2 separate cottages. All linens and towels are provided! (There’s a fee for pets)
This cottage is a 2.5hr drive out from the GTA. It is ideal for family reunions with plenty of outdoor gathering space to eat, play and enjoy the sunset!
Direct access to Gunter Lake with a private dock to swim and relax on. This place is perfect for winter activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice fishing.

✔ All bedding is included - made on the bed for you upon your arrival. No need to bring your own!
✔ Well equipped kitchen including coffee maker, kettle, toaster, espresso maker and with basic cooking necessities.
✔ 1 king sized bed, 3 queen sized beds, a bunk bed (2 twins), and 2 queen sized sofa beds
*Inflatable Kayaks and Canoes must be reserved beforehand and a waiver must be signed.
***Please note that venturing onto the lake in the winter is not recommended as the ice is never 100% safe, and not monitored***
Please remember to bring your own bug spray.
Cottage country witnesses a lot of snow and there can be ice build up on the driveway. By booking this cottage, guests acknowledge responsibility for their own actions and will not hold any of the owners of the cottage responsible for any injury due to slipping on the driveway.
This cottage is on a well, and the water is potable. Most people don't mind, but some have mentioned it does have a different taste. We recommend bringing your own water.
EV Charger on property is to be shared and it’s 14/50 connector.
This cottage shares some of the outdoor amenities with the neighboring cottage - including the soccer nets, volleyball nets and dock. Please be respectful in sharing these items. Please also be advised that our outdoor furniture will be unavailable from November to April due to winter weather conditions. Also, our property is constantly being upgraded. You will sometimes notice we’ve added new items to make stays more comfortable. There is a possibility our photos may be different than what you see in the property upon arrival.
*We don’t have public waste removal and guests are required to remove the garbage they brought in. We will provide details on how and when to remove garbage. Luckily our local dump is only minutes from our cottage.
We understand that removing garbage isn’t ideal and takes away from the luxury of the cottage. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Late check out/check in is available for $20/hr.
Please note that profiles with a lower review rating than 4 stars will not be allowed to book our property on an instant book basis and if for whatever reason the reservation confirms through the system, the reservation may be cancelled. For guests with new profiles without reviews, these requests will be reviewed manually and will be subject to screening and questioning before a reservation may be confirmed.
Fire Pit & Open-Air Burning Rules
Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor fire pit, but must follow all local fire regulations.
* No permit is required for open-air burning between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM, provided all municipal fire safety guidelines are followed.
* From April 1 to October 31, open-air burning is prohibited between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
* Small fires used strictly for cooking or warmth are permitted during daytime hours.
* No fires of any kind are permitted during a municipal fire ban, burn restriction, or emergency fire order, regardless of the time of day.
* Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before leaving the area or retiring for the night.
Guests are responsible for complying with all local fire regulations during their stay.
Deposits may be required.
1. No Parties. The guests will be evicted without any refund if there is a party or noise complaint. No loud music outdoors at any time. Mature Gatherings only.
2. Quiet hours between 10pm-8am.
3. No unregistered guests in the unit unless approved by host.
4. No smoking (vaping or marijuana) inside the cottage. If we find evidence of smoking in the unit, up to a $500 fee will be charged.
6. Guests are responsible for removing their own garbage. Instructions for removal can be found in the property.
7. Sorted garbage left behind will cost $20 to remove. If garbage & recycling need to be separated, $50 will incur.
8. Watercrafts are $50 and must be reserved beforehand and a waiver must be signed.
9. Dogs not allowed on furniture. We kindly request that you promptly clean up after your pet whenever they relieve themselves on the property.

Excellent communication with PM. Location was even better in person. Both cottages are well-kept. Removed one hour from check-out time, im guessing because of cleaners. The drive was very straight forward. Great accommodation and ammenities. Definitely recommend this place!

The cottage was lovely and we had a great time. The place is special, especially the lake in the morning. I really want to come back again — two days weren’t enough!. “The communication with the host was great; they responded quickly and were very helpful. The internet was fast and reliable.
