Choyia’s Place on Kings River
This unique passive solar home was built by retired Air Force Lt. Colonel A.J. Smith and his wife Choyia in the early 90’s. They loved the area and wanted to share its beauty with their friends and visitors. We want to do the same. This 7000 sq.ft. home sits on the banks of the Kings River. It is great for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The home has a very large kitchen and the dining area can seat 25 for meals. There are 5 bedrooms in the home, three have king beds and private baths. There is a bunk room that sleeps 6. The house sleeps 16 comfortably. There are 2 bar areas, a game room with pool table, game table and cozy seating area around fireplace. There is an exercise room with equipment and 6 person hot tub. A nice sun room is attached for morning coffee and a great place to read. There is a solarium with plants to bring the outside in. Choyia’s place is 25 minutes from historic Eureka Springs. 20 minutes from the beautiful Dogwood Canyon and around 45 minutes from Branson Mo. and Silver Dollar City. If you want to float the river we can refer you to a local Canoe rental service. If you would like, we can provideva grocery pickup for you so you will have everything you need when you arrive. We want you to relax and have a wonderful time and come back again and again.

The house is huge and beyond equipped. Everything was thought of in the kitchen and the cabinets are labeled so you can find what you need. It’s just up the hill from the Kings River with easy access to launch or take out kayaks. We floated down to Romp Hole access with an easy 10 minute dirt road shuttle back. This was a guys trip with only four guys so we all had a bedroom and full bath to ourselves. The notes say it sleeps 16 but its probably more like 20 with a a lot of kids. Would be a great setup for 3 or 4 families!

We arrived for our high school senior class trip. There was enough space that we weren’t on top of each other. The mugs loved the games and hot tub. All in all, it was a great experience and will be a source of memories for years to come.

The house and property are very unique in a good way, and the direct access to the river is a nice bonus.Our kids loved everything about it. Debbie is a great host and we certainly recommend this property to other families.

There is a lot of steps, but it didn't stop our youngest at age 3. The kitchen had everything. Plenty of extra stuff as well such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. Our whole family loved this house.
