The location is fabulous. The house has historical charm. The patio is wonderful.
We had to pay in cash which we had not noticed. Luckily we had sufficient cash among us. This did not seem usual to us. Also there is no AC in the house...but the screens and ventilation were sufficient to provide comfort.

Een mooi, ruim huis met een grote tuin met mooie vergezichten. Het huis ligt op een ideale plek om de wijde omgeving te ontdekken. Alle kamers waren ruim en de bedden waren prima. Ook was het netjes schoon toen we aankwamen. De authentieke details in het huis gaven een extra dimensie aan de sfeer. Heel leuk!
Tijdens ons verblijf deed de WiFi het niet en dit kon ook niet worden gemaakt. In de keuken liepen er mieren, hoe schoon we het ook probeerden te houden. In de beschrijving van de faciliteiten staat de aanwezigheid van een wasmachine en wasdroger. Dit is niet het geval (wel tegen betaling mogelijk).

The place is beautiful and spacious. Very clean. Our host was amazing and went out of his way to make sure we weee comfortable. He even came by one evening and took us around the property to see jungle night critters! The gardens and veranda were fabulous.
The property is well maintained but has some overall issues. We were really careful and clean, but there was still a constant issue with ants in the kitchen. Once more, when it rained, the skylights leaked. Regardless, the house is us so clean and a great, relaxing retreat.

The space, we were a family of four and we each had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The house had everything needed including a large laundry room with a washer and dryer!
We enjoyed a barbecue on the large outdoor patio, which has stunning views.
A car is required but we were able to drive to Monteverde rain forest without a four wheel drive. The rainforest is about 2 hours away via the waterfalls.
