The lounge was cozy comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped. Great location and an excellent welcome book with lots of useful information.

The beds were very uncomfortable and we didn’t sleep very well. We tried them all . Also all the pillows were lumpy and we couldn’t get comfortable. There was mould on the wall behind the single bed . The smoke alarm in the hallway kept going off and we weren’t even cooking . Because we changed beds we noticed the mattress protector on the double bed was stained .

Lovely location both within the town and for exploring the local area. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, including lots of games and dvds, and the log burner was a bonus - who doesn't love a real fire! The small yard was ideal for the dog, would have been nice to sit out if weather had been warmer.

Recycling is encouraged, which I love, but difficult to implement when you don't have the right containers to put out for collection. Broken tile directly behind bath taps meant we had to minimise showers for fear of water leaking downstairs. Shower mat had pink and black mold unfortunately which could have been resolved quite easily before our stay with the right cleaning materials. Lovely cottage overall, you don't expect a property of that age to be perfect, just needs some tlc.
