A rating of 6 here on Booking implies a "pleasant" stay. I chose that rating solely based on the location and certain amenities that were important to us this time (like parking on-site, user-friendly washing machine). Area amenities were great as well - such as local grocer, bread and cheese shops across the street, and a bank ATM next door. Short walk to the town center as well.

1. Please, please note before you decide to reserve this unit during the summer months that there is *only one* window in the flat and no A/C. Neither the description on Booking nor the photos make this clear. In fact, the photos appear intended to make the true orientation of the apartment difficult to ascertain. 2. Even in early to mid-June this year, we had mostly 95 deg F days during our weeklong stay. The host has the flat decorated nicely for click-bait photos but not for practicality. Only one adequately sized floor / standing fan is provided. When we couldn't sleep at night in the *grave-like claustrophobia of the unventilated bedroom*, we began to shift this fan back and forth with us as we moved about the flat. The corduroy sofa upholstery means you can't sit on the sofa on hot days either unless you want sweat-lodge vibes. We were peeling off the bed and furniture! 2. The host doesn't live in France, which isn't atypical these days, but she appears to have *no management team* in France or St Remy d. Pce to assist her guests. If you have a crisis, *you will be on your own*. Do carefully consider the potential risks. She is not responsive by text either, and communication is unusually (for this day and age) challenging due to language differences. 3. We were provided *one* toilet paper roll (2 people) and *one* trash bag for 7 days. No washing machine pods. No welcome amenities. No courtesy, no grace, no service. 4. The bathroom is on full view from the bedroom - I guess they had to use a glass partition in there since there is no other source of natural light. 5. There is skylight in the bedroom but it doesn't open. Only makes the room hotter if the shade's not drawn . 6. The host expects you to clean the flat at check-out.
