The River House is very big! There was plenty of room for our family of five. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated, and we didn't use them, but there are two fireplaces. There is a nice outdoor space surrounded by trees.
There is no way to access the river, but that wasn't promised in the listing. There is a staircase down to a dirt road that is close to the river, but it won't get you there and is very rickety, so I don't suggest trying it. The river flows quickly in this area, so it probably wouldn't be safe anyway. You can hear the river from the house, but can't really see it.

Clean. On a river, sort of (overlooking a river from well above). Everything worked as expected. Easy to find. Good communication.
My dog didn’t like the gravel and the walkable part of the property is mostly gravel. The bed in the second bedroom was uncomfortable. The overhead rain shower was too low for me. I’m 6’2” tall and my head was just barely under it without me having to bend down.

Location was lovely -- we were only there a short time, but it was wonderful to sit on the back porch, the main living spaces were generous and beautifully decorated, and it would have been fun to use the fire pit.
Would have been really nice to have a mirror in the master bedroom. A bit of a bummer to go up the small staircase to use the bathroom but would have helped if there were a mirror in the room for doing make up and hair.
