Casa dos Salgados

The apartment is beautifully clean and spacious enough for 6 people, two bathrooms. Large fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, oven, plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. The AC is brilliant.

The external green gate is a nightmare to open, it needs realigning/replacing. . We were locked out on arrival (the internal door needed some WD40 on it and I was given a different key after calling the host & waiting for almost an hour outside with our luggage & 2 tired kids). There was no mention of the two flights of stairs to reach the apartment until we received the confirmation/check in details a couple of days prior to the holiday. This means two flights each time the bathroom is required when using the pool area. 🫣 There is very little shade around the pool, a few umbrellas would make a lot of difference. You really need a car in the area. Not a lot available within walking distance apart from a small mini market and coffee bar.

Apartment was clean ,comfortable and spacious . Good showers in both bathrooms. Good wifi and well equipped kitchen . Appreciated the water and wine left by the host . Property is in a really quiet location however a few restaurants are nearby within 10 to 15 minutes walk . Several stunning beaches 15 minutes away . Local transport is only a couple of minutes away.

Apartment is on the third level of the property and there is a considerable climb to reach apartment. No lift . The pool is communal and is extremely poorly maintained and appears dirty . Cobbles surrounding the pool requires immediate attention as trip hazard for children and less mobile people. Sun loungers are filthy and unusable. No visible shower despite instructions to shower before entering the pool . No outside sunny balconies in the apartment.

Spacious , clean , 2 bathrooms , easy access to other cities and attractions in algarve , supermarket access less than a mile away , everything you can think of you need for a 5 day holiday is provided including dishes / soaps / dishwasher tab / washing powder species / coffee etc

The pool needs a bit of TLC and a good clean out of all the dried leaves . The green gate lock / key definitely needs changing / repairing .. it’s a bit of a struggle until you can figure it out after a few tries… a bit unnerving if you reach there in the dark for the first time and are unable to open that door in the first 5 tries !
