About this house rental
Welcome to La Fleurie, the winemaker’s house—an elegant property built around 1820 in the charming medieval village of Mirepeisset. It is fully fenced with a gate that opens onto a gravel courtyard, providing parking for cars. The house, La Fleurie, was converted from the old barn. It is completely self-contained and features its own private pool (6 m x 3 m, with a removable safety fence) and an enclosed garden with a barbecue and lounge chairs for relaxing days or evenings.
The other cottage, Le Fitou, is attached to the main house.
Local markets, the Canal du Midi, the city of Carcassonne, and the town of Narbonne offer plenty of opportunities for outings.
The village of Gruissan, a 35-minute drive away, features beautiful beaches.
There’s a small restaurant 300 meters from the house, as well as a grocery store with fresh bread and pastries, open daily (supermarket 3 km away).
In the surrounding area, several restaurants invite you to sample regional specialties. Many winemakers will also be happy to introduce you to their wines.
The Béziers airport is 48 km away, and the Carcassonne airport is 59 km away.
Ground Floor Layout:
Spacious cathedral-ceiling living room/dining area/open kitchen with kettle, toaster, electric coffee maker, oven, microwave/dishwasher, washing machine, and refrigerator/freezer.
1 bedroom with 1 160-size bed, en suite bathroom, and adjoining toilet.
First floor:
2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, a shower room, and a toilet.
They are connected by a mezzanine walkway featuring the original stone wall.
Portable air conditioners are available upon request.
We also have a crib, high chair, and stair gate available for your use.

We had a beautiful stay at La Fleurie. The house and the swimming pool were excellent for our two week stay. The owners gave a perfect support if needed. We are thinking about going back next year.

Our family had a wonderful stay at La Fleurie! Jean Luc and Veronique are so warm and welcoming, providing everything you need to feel at home, and the place is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the tiny village of Mirepeisset and the rich history, culture, and food of the region.

We had a great time in this lovely property. All you need is provided for and more. A lot of nearby activities and nice bicycle ride to be done along the Canal du Midi. Jane and Roger are great host and shared some of their restaurant favorites, which we would highly recommend as well. Definitely a go to place to rest and visit this beautiful region.

We are a family of 5 with three children under 9yrs old. We stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. The pool was gorgeous and a great relief in the 37 degree heat! Robin and Jane were very welcoming and hospitable, provided an excellent welcome grocery park and gave us lots of useful information about what to see and do in the local area. Thoroughly recommended.
