SO SIMPLY RIBEIRA - Charming apartment located right in the historic center of Porto

Good location and easy to check in. I wouldn’t call this a 2 bedroom though. The main bedroom is part of the living room. There is no separate area. We rented this place to work remote, and I thought there would be separate bedrooms. The bathroom also had very strong smell.

This property was in a fantastic location. Definitely an older building, but was still charming. As other reviews state, the stairs up to the apartment were quite steep and lots of them. I would recommend staying here!

Apartment was clean and stocked with coffee pods for daily consumption. Toilet paper stocked as well. Much appreciated! However the hallway walls in the staircase leading to apartment door are covered in mold - a clear health risk. My family and I felt we had to cover our mouths or hold our breath as we ascended the many stairs. There is also no ventilation in the bathroom (which seems to be commom in Portugal). There was a musty smell in the bathroom as well, which is likely due to old plumbing.The hosts were lovely and accommodating, greeting us from the start and offering recommendations in the area. Also the location was brilliant, right on the river with access to many delicious restaurants and scenic viewpoints.
