About this house rental
Fully renovated in 2022, this Historic District, 150 year old home was designed for modern family living while preserving the architectural significance of the 19th century. Custom chef's kitchen, luxury master suite w/ king bed, streaming channels, 2nd fl den with additional TV, large yard, alfresco dining, firepit, outdoor theater, brand new garage with gym & rec space with a multigame table. 4 short blocks to beach, walk to shops, 5 mins to Northwestern, 20 mins to downtown Chicago!
Evanston's Lakeshore Historic District is located at the shore of Lake Michigan. Our home is 4 short blocks away from South Boulevard Beach. We also have 4 parks within a 2 block radius of our home! South Blvd. "L" station is 3 blocks away and Main St. "L" and Metra stations are .4 miles away. Main street is also home to many restaurants, cafes and shops all within walking distance. For a quick shopping trip, Walgreens is 1.5 blocks away.
You will have 2 private, covered parking spots in our garage. There is plenty of street parking but please refer to Evanston's street cleaning schedule in order to avoid getting a parking ticket. We will also include the schedule in the House Manual.
Please note that for security reasons, we have 3 outdoor cameras pointed at and recording the following:
- Above the front doors recording the front porch, the front yard and a bit of the sidewalk and parkway.
- Above the back door recording the back staircase and door.
- Next to the back door recording the West section of the backyard and garage.
Tampering with the cameras in any way will be cause for booking cancellation.

This is a wonderful rental property and experience. Beautiful neighborhood, great access to the El and the lake, lovely home - charming, very clean, well updated, great amenities, nice yard, etc! Excellent hosts who are kind, helpful with just the right amount of good communication. We very highly recommend!

This house is a gem. It is spacious, comfortable and special. It's beautifully updated but still holds historic charm. We had three adults and two kids with us and had more than enough room. We spent a lot of time just hanging out in the house enjoying family time. The neighborhood is great and the hosts gave us really good local restaurants choices. Nice backyard, nice front porch, great beds, laundry. This is a good one.

I highly recommend this property. It's on par with a 5-star hotel from the high touch service to the quality of the space itself. The historic house has been expertly remodeled with luxurious amenities. The owners and property manager have thought of every detail including a gym, game room, welcome gift, periodically checking in to make sure everything is okay. The linens, bath products and kitchen wares were high quality. The hosts are welcoming and made us feel like special guests. Of the dozens of house stays I've booked in the past this was the best experience and property. Thank you Rada and family!
