Family-friendly A-Frame on Sandy Beachfront
Welcome to Hearth and Pine A-frame on Sand Lake. Our comfortable and cozy year-round retreat is nestled among pines and oaks in Northern Wisconsin, and it is perfect for families, couples, outdoor enthusiasts, or girl’s getaway weekends – dog-friendly too! The spaces have been significantly updated, designed to retain the cool cabin vibe but adding comfort and convenience with some fun built in.
The space
Whatever “cabin” means to you, we’ve got it. Nap on one of the comfy sofas, make sand castles on the beach, enjoy s’mores by the firepit, play games on the family-style table, settle in with a book from our bookshelf, tell ghost stories in the loft. Send the kids to the a-frame to watch a movie while the grown-ups play cards, or enjoy evening breezes on the deck while you wait for dinner to finish on the grill. There are views for days -- stunning sunrises for the early birds and sunsets for the night owls, our southern exposure gives us the best of both worlds, plus calming water vistas any time of day or night.
Other things to note
The entire cabin has been updated with a blend of comfy and cool design features and just the right amount of kitsch. The A-frame offers a fully renovated bathroom w/ shower, queen bedroom, loft bedroom, and family room area with full/twin bunk beds. Main cabin area features another full bathroom, large bedroom (w/ dedicated work space and plenty of room for a crib or pack-n-play), living room with gas fireplace, dining room, fully stocked eat-in kitchen (drip/Keurig combination coffee maker, microwave, toaster, pots/pans, bake/serving ware, dishes/glasses, utensils). Outdoors you’ll find guest parking for up to 4 vehicles; a “toy” shed (for life preservers, kayaks, paddleboard, water toys, etc.); large lake-front deck with patio seating, bistro lighting, and gas grill; sandy beachfront with gentle entry great for splashing; and a lovely dock perfect for dangling toes in the water.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and beds very comfortable. Plenty of space for myself, husband and my parents. (And our litte dog). Great beach area.

From the moment we walked in, we felt relaxed and at home! The cabin is well-stocked and the owners have gone above and beyond to supply guests with kitchen needs, beach towels, extra blankets, kayaks, beach toys, and even a welcome s'mores kit and dog treat! The view is amazing and the sandy, shallow beach was a treat. We brought our boat and had a great time fishing and tubing. The A-frame was a perfect space for our son, who loved that he could shut the door and have his own "apartment"! Highly recommend, and we can't wait to stay again!
