Rural house on the southern tip of the Canary Island of La Palma with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean
This restored, traditional Canarian vacation home in Fuencaliente, the island’s southernmost municipality, is very well-maintained.
The building is long and narrow, with rooms lined up one after another; all offer fantastic views of the huge terrace, the ocean, and the sunrise.
Its rustic charm comes from the beautiful wooden ceilings, cozy seating nooks by the windows, and the awning that stretches the entire length of the building. A table for four right next to the kitchen invites you to dine outdoors.
The terrace in front of the house is very large and offers an almost unbelievable view of the south coast, a vineyard, and the vast ocean.
Several benches, lounge chairs, and another table with chairs offer guests a variety of ways to enjoy the view outdoors.
On a clear day, you can even see the neighboring islands of Tenerife, La Gomera, and El Hierro. When the Canary Islands archipelago reveals itself like this, few people remain unmoved.
In addition to the magnificent ocean panorama, the secluded location in this sparsely populated area also offers a stunning view of the starry sky over the La Palma Starlight Reserve.
Los Torres I features two bedrooms, each lovingly furnished with beautiful wooden furniture and equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite reception.
The rather sparsely furnished living room is located between the two bedrooms; here you’ll find a nice couch, a glass table with two wooden chairs, a few books and coffee-table books, and a wine rack.
Important to know: to reach the kitchen and bathroom, you’ll need to walk through one of the bedrooms.
The bathroom is well-equipped with a shower and storage space. The separate kitchen features a small table with two chairs and everything else you’ll need, such as a washing machine, internet, and a microwave (except for a dishwasher).
Getting to the house takes some getting used to at first, but the location more than makes up for it. A rental car is absolutely necessary.
To reach the house and the front terrace, you’ll need to walk down a stone staircase.
