Unexpected but lovely stay on Varuna yacht
After a booking disaster with another company, we found Varuna yacht as the most affordable last-minute option in Nida — and honestly, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
It’s a cozy and charming place, especially for those who love the water. That said, sleeping on a boat is a unique experience — you’ll either love it or realize it’s not for you. But it’s definitely worth trying at least once!
If you’re into peaceful vibes, gentle waves, and something different than a regular hotel — Varuna is a great choice.

In general everything was in place.
Yacht anchored near the center marina.
There are a lot of cafes near the yacht.
There is binoculars so you can observe nature around the Nida staying on the board
There are an unexpectedly many beds/places for sleep.
My son enjoyed time we spent on this yacht a lot.
For those who like tiny houses and motorhome it could very nice experience, but for those who like 5 stars hotel it will be uncomfortable.
There was a toilet on the yacht, but it's prohibited to use it, instead of it you need to use toilet at cafes (it's free for guests)
It's hard to understand where you can find some things like dishes or how you can use it without guidance of host, for instance, there were 2 water taps and it was unclear what taps for drinking water and what for common water.
The dishes itself sloppily folded, if spend some time to change, reorder the dishes guest can get better impression from renting.
it's prohibited to drink alcohol at the yacht, you can't drink wine sitting on a boat in the setting sun, that's romantic flavour disappears, at the same it's clear why there is such restriction.

Location was good - shops and pubs/cafes were very close.
There were very few pillows and bedding. Could have been bit more taking into account that we were 5 people on the yacht.
