Haven's Way Cottage

No breakfast. Location was perfect for me.

The stove knobs are incredibly easy to bump and turn on. Similarly, the shower control is easy to bump, resulting in either icy or boiling water. Im a big fat guy, so the chairs were of no use to me. Fortunately, I noticed that in the posting pictures, so I brought my own chair.

This was perfect for a 3 night stay with my 6 year old son, close to his summer camp. The location was great, place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was easy. Quiet, even with the windows opened.

It was lacking in some basic kitchen items, such as a toaster, drinking glasses that weren’t old mason jars, and only had a single large pot and frying pan to cook with. It would also have been helpful to have a garbage can in the bathroom to avoid having to carry hygiene items through the main room to the garbage. Also, it seemed that the shower head needed de calcifying to improve shower flow.

We were very happy with the location! It was closer to our Granddaughter’s farm, Foggy Hill. We appreciated the comfortable queen bed and the efficient kitchen. The gas stove added warmth and coziness to the room. Thank you for the water in the refrigerator, much appreciated!

We arrived at 5:00 to Haven’s Cottage. I used the 10-digit code to gain access. I failed repeatedly. So I read the numbers to Kent and he tried unsuccessfully. We tried to watch the video sent by Avari but we didn’t have internet connection. I called Avari, he said he would try to find local help & then call me. I did not receive a response. After waiting and trying some more times, we called Avari again. He suggested we use the emergency lock box. Kent went to the lock box and there was no key!!!😩While we waited, Avari was going to continue to seek help from someone local. At 9:00, a local person who had to drive an hour came & immediately opened the door successfully!😃Both Kent and I tried to use the key pad in her presence, unsuccessfully.🥵We were unable to lock our place for our entire visit because we knew we were unable to successfully use the 10-digit keypad. We would have liked a TV for the evenings . The bathroom mirror is not functional for shaving or a short person! There were dead and live bugs in the unit.
