This was the perfect beach apartment for the Naturista beach! A railroad design with a sunny dining solarium at the window end and a huge open deck beyond that. And a living room. The gorgeous wide, long Naturista beach was a 10 minute walk away. Our view was into the circle of the complex, so no ocean view, but the deck felt sunny and spacious and open, and protected from the wind near the beach, and we had breakfast out there twice. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was hot. A very nice woman met us to give us the keys and let us in and explain things. We were there at the end of September, and many restaurants, bars and stores had closed, but nearby was a grocery store, a pub, and a cafe. Only a few apartments around us were occupied, so it was very quiet and peaceful. Check out requirements were clear. The very nice husband of the woman came and checked us out when we left, and was very nice about helping us with our luggage to our car. There were some hassles (see below), but overall, we felt we had scored the perfect place.

1) No beach towels! Odd for a beach place. Very inconvenient, as we were not traveling with towels. 2) A very low shower head so you could not stand up and shower hands free. 3) There was a very confusing check-in procedure that involved going to a building near the main gate and buying a parking pass for $16 euros that was not explained in advance so we questioned it. Then we thought we were meeting the nice woman at that building, so waited a long time, but she was waiting for us at the apartment's parking place, which was also not explained. I gave very detailed suggestions to the very nice hosts about how to communicate all this better, and they were very nice about it and promised to do so. A thought about booking studio/apartments/houses via booking.com. It felt like we were really booking with VRBO due to the amount of communication that was needed with the hosts. This was the 4th of 4 studio/apartments/houses we rented via booking.com for this September trip, and each of them involved lots of separate interactions with the hosts. (Unlike the 3 hotel rooms we rented, which did not need extra communication beyond when we were arriving). Some of these hosts were better communicators than others. This one was pretty good, but it still took lots of time. This one also required my paying them directly, which I didn't want to do, as that is why I use booking.com, but they did state that in the description, and Booking assured me that it was OK. Next time I'll read the descriptions better!
