WARNING – Misleading booking, no responsibility, and absolutely no help from the staff

Nothing to like when you’ve been misled

We booked what we believed was a small cabin, clearly listed as “1 room”. The price wasn’t cheap, but we wanted a safe and comfortable stop during our trip with the kids. When we arrived, we were shocked to find that there was no cabin at all – what we had actually booked was just an empty camping pitch meant for a motorhome. The problem? We didn’t even have a motorhome. How is it possible to book a “room” and end up with a patch of grass and no shelter whatsoever? We immediately went to the staff and politely explained the situation. We even showed our booking where it clearly said “1 room” and tried to explain that the information on Booking.com was extremely misleading. We didn’t ask for anything unreasonable – just a refund so we could find an actual place to stay, especially since we were on the road with children. But even though we never stayed there, never used the site, and were clearly misled, they refused to help. No refund, no empathy – just cold responses and a rigid “you booked it, so we keep the money” attitude. To make things worse, the property told us to contact Booking.com, and when we did, Booking told us to speak to the property directly. We were passed back and forth while we stood there with our kids and no place to sleep. No one took responsibility. To treat a family with children like that while traveling is not just bad service – it’s heartless. We had to book new accommodation last minute, pay twice, and deal with unnecessary stress and confusion – all of which could’ve been avoided with just a little understanding. I’m sharing this to warn others. Don’t expect decent service, flexibility, or accountability from this place. We will never return – and sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did.

Perfect short stay, in a quiet and intimate camping.

The extreme kindness and help from the (only) staff, I believe her name was Kay. Always smiling and willing to help. The chalet is a good size, and great for short stays. The restaurant on the beach is also great quality and with very kind staff.

Recycling feels messy and not accurately labelled, so I’ve noticed that the different bins were used for anything.

Great stay in a spacious area!

We loved our stay here! The staff was lovely and we were able to check in several hours before check in. The pool was great and very spacious and the inside of our mobile home was perfect for our group. The air conditioning was also a plus! There was also a shuttle to the beach that ran every 15 minutes and was very helpful.

The location was hard to navigate without a car or bike, since it’s relatively far from the train station and the main part of town. If you stay in the area of ippocampo or don’t mind a walk it wasn’t too bad. We also had a mouse in our mobile home, but that was just a part of the camping experience.

Prima, leuke camping.

Mooie rustige camping, dicht bij de zee en een heel fijn strand. Heel mooi zwembad met fijne ligbedjes. Wij hadden een chalet voor 3 personen met z’n twee en dat was prima qua ruimte.

Als het slecht weer is buiten kun je alleen niet fijn zitten om te eten. Ook was er buiten een raam geen ventilatie in de douche en verder in het verblijf ook niet waardoor het erg vochtig kan zijn. Helaas hadden we ook een lekkage in het huisje de eerste nacht (het regende toen ook wel erg hard, maar toch). We hebben toen handdoeken gebruikt om het water op te vangen. De volgende dag kregen we wel nieuwe handdoeken.

Schönes und recht neues Chalet mit viel Grün drumherum. Toilettenpapier, Eimer mit Wischmop und Handfeger inklusive. Ansprechende Poolanlage und sehr nettes Personal.

Nur Kleinigkeiten. Mehr Infos über den Campingplatz und seine Angebote bei Ankunft wären toll gewesen. Ansonsten war das Besteck im Chalet nicht vollständig. Bei Bedarf hätte man dieses aber bestimmt bekommen.

Belle le piscine per tutti bambini e adulti con idromassaggio. Bagni puliti. Lo staff cordiale.

Il camping và migliorato, non c'è una recinzione perimetrale, c'è un piccolo chiosco multifunzione (check-in/bar/servizi), i tavoli sono pochi considerando che se piove la metà sono inutilizzabili. Camping disorganizzato senza nessun controllo serale/notturno, per passare dall'area comune alle piazzole si passa per l'area di scarico dei caravan con inevitabile cattivo odore. I lavabi sono quelli degli aeroporti, belli ma non utili per chi campeggia.

La direzione, la Responsabile ,mi ha detto che non ero il primo.. ma la colpa non era dell campeggio Ippocampo .. ma di booking che vende una piazzola come stanza facendo pubblicità ingannevole..

A mio avviso mancano cartelli con limiti di velocità all' interno della struttura, c'è qualcuno che pensa di poter correre in stradine dove ci sono piazzole e bambini. I locali dovrebbero essere puliti più spesso non solo la mattina.

Ho soggiornato in tenda tra fine luglio e inizio agosto con due bambini. Ho trovato il posto accogliente, tranquillo, silenzioso e riservato. Vicino alla bellissima pineta e al mare, raggiungibili a piedi con una breve passeggiata. Bella piscina e area giochi con la sabbia, ottimo intrattenimento. Ho apprezzato la quiete, la semplicità e la gentilezza.

È un camping a zero servizi, non c'è un bar degno di nota per fare colazione, aprono troppo tardi per me (ore 8), non c'è un negozio di alimentari o ristorante/pizzeria al suo interno come ho visto in altri campeggi di livello.

Campeggio pazzesco, ci torneremo sicuramente!

Partiamo subito dalla super disponibilità e gentilezza dello staff! Poi che dire, bagni puliti e abbastanza spaziosi. Lo spazio per la tenda era grandissimo e questo ci ha permesso di tenere la macchina di fianco e avere la comodità di avere tutto a portata. Inoltre è presente un servizio navetta gratuito: quando vuoi un signore super simpatico ti porta e ti riporta dalla spiaggia più vicina (5 minuti in macchina). Sono presenti anche delle piscine che ti riportano a un'oasi di pace, nel verde e con la simpatia del personale.

È stato tutto perfetto.

Abbiamo soggiornato in un bungalow per tre persone, tutto molto pulito e moderno. Il letto grande e comodissimo e l’ambiente molto silenzioso. Belle le piscine e il servizio navetta per il mare veramente comodissimo, un servizio impeccabile

Se devo trovare una cosa da migliorare direi che il bar della piscina è sprovvisto di mangiare, ci sono solo gelati e patatine. Visto che ci sono anche tanti bambini piccoli sarebbe comodo avere anche qualcosa tipo schiacciate/pizze e frutta per fare merenda.

Een fantastisch verblijf op een nieuwe, schone camping! Onze 10 nachten in deze prachtige nieuwe camping waren een waar genot. De camping is uiterst schoon en beschikt over twee zwembaden, waarvan één speciaal voor adults only – ideaal voor ontspanning. We verbleven in een ruime en goed onderhouden chalet met twee slaapkamers en twee badkamers, voorzien van een perfect werkende airco en een volledig uitgeruste keuken. Bij aankomst werden we warm en vriendelijk ontvangen door Cinzia, precies de juiste balans tussen gastvrijheid en informeel – iets waar wij enorm van houden. Gedurende ons verblijf was Tsehay van de receptie altijd behulpzaam, wat de ervaring extra speciaal maakte. Een bijzonder gebaar: op de verjaardag van mijn man had ze onze chalet feestelijk versierd, een verrassing die we enorm waardeerden. De locatie is perfect: ongeveer 10 minuten lopen naar het strand. We hebben heerlijk geluncht bij Ristorante Il Gatto Nero, een absolute aanrader. Voor een onvergetelijk diner met je voeten in het zand, reserveer een tafel bij Stella Beach. Al met al een topverblijf dat we iedereen kunnen aanraden!

Una sorpresa in mezzo a verde a Cecina

Lo staff molto gentile ed attento alle nostre esigenze, la camera comodissima calda ed accogliente, l'ambiente completamente immerso nel verde lo abbiamo trovato rilassante e molto salutare. La vicinanza sia a piedi che con mezzi pubblici a tutti i servizi é la completezza positiva di questa bella vacanza.

In bassa stagione purtroppo lo staff se ne va via troppo presto infrasettimanalmente ed il sabato è la domenica non si presentano in tutta la giornata. Ho lasciato le chiavi penso alla donna che pulisce le casine e lo stabile ogni giorno parlandoci in inglese, una donna molto gentile. A prescindere da questo credo che comunque sia ben poca cosa questa dato che ho preso una casina con cucina proprio per poterci autogestire in totale autonomia nel nostro soggiorno.
