Good property, small pool and centrally located

Nice property in Canggu, good location and walkable to nearby restaurants.

The pool is SMALL! Much smaller than anticipated and doesn’t clearly show this in the pictures. Be warned, there is very little actually pool space.

For a black friday deal, it was great value but won't be back just due to the beds.

Was a modern villa with a nice "modern bali villa" design. I loved the conversation pit lounge and the ensuite bathroom was cool! It was also like a 2 minutes gojek to all the amazing restaurants in Canggu.

#1 thing i disliked is the beds. They are rock hard. I woke up every morning with lower back spasms and im 22 years old...there were also alot of mosquitos so be sure to use the provided insect spray, we didn't and we copped it bad.

Great stay and location!

Lovely villa! Great location. Only a short walk to the main road for restaurants, cafes and shops. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Can get very noisy at night time. Our villa was right next to the driveway so could hear scooters coming all night. The pavers on the driveway were loose so this made extra noise when they were driven over. Wifi in the villa was terrible. Had to use my phone data majority of the time because it kept cutting out.

Comfortable, roomy villa in the middle of Canggu

Villa was new and clean, comfortable to stay. Check in was easy and we arrived by taxi, address on google maps is accurate and the taxi can stop at the doorstep where staff can meet you for check in. Location is central and near to shops.

The villa was noisy at times, especially if neighbours are talking loudly. Cleanliness of the shower was generally good but can be improved.

The most perfect villa in Canggu

Blacksand Villas is amazing!! We loved our stay here and everything was perfect. The staff were also super friendly, Jeri and Wipa were so helpful and just so lovely. It’s also in a great location to explore Canggu - everything was a 10-15 minute walk away or like 5 mins on a scooter. If we’re lucky enough to go to Bali again, we’d absolutely book here again!

This one was my favourite villa! It was so close to everything. Me and my best friend had the best time here! The host was so friendly and so nice! Jeri his name is he was great! I would definitely recommend staying at this villa, we really enjoyed our time here so close to all the nice restaurants and the main strip! Thank you Jeri for such an amazing experience. Definitely will come again. Jeri is my favourite host!!

There was not really anything I disliked about the Villa except the fact that the cleaning was only done every two days, but that’s nothing to not like. Seriously had the best time.

Great location and nice decor but a few things to note before staying.

The location was amazing, cafes/restaurants/gym/yoga studio was all within 5 - 10 min walking distance. We loved that in the morning we could just walk around the corner to go for pilates session, get back and change then walk around the other corner to get breakfast. The place itself was beautifully decorated (although some things to note - see below), felt secluded even though it was a block of townhouses next to each other.

No major issues, just a few things to note: Getting to the location - there is no direct pin, so often transport will take you down the wrong alley way. So we just ended up walking to the main road each time. The stairs to the top bedroom, is very narrow and steep, the step at the top is also like a half step and not much to hold on to. So prob not best for kids or older people. The hosts did help with carrying the luggage up and down the stairs for us. We also had an ant issue in the downstairs bedroom, there were these mini ants that where all over the bed and sheets. They came out of no where as we didn't have food in the room. This occurred the night before we left, and we got home late so we just bug sprayed the bed. The ants were there again in the morning and we mentioned it to the hosts and they were going to do something about it - so hopefully this is resolved for the next guests.

Amazing week in the black sands villa. Will definitely stay again

Absolutely everything! Stunning villa. Staff were amazing, great location and good value for money. Loved that we had a mini bar since we arrived on a late flight. It was just a gorgeous villa for a couples getaway.

Nothing we didn’t like 👍 but keep in mind the stairs are quite steep. Pool was cold- but that’s a good thing to some! Mattress was hard but that’s a personal preference- otherwise we loved it and would definitely stay again and recommend.

I loved the location, super close to great restaurants and cafes - walking distance to most things. It was so nice to have two bathrooms and a filtered water dispenser in the villa. The villa itself was beautiful! It was also well stocked with plates, cutlery, cups etc. The staff were also really kind and helpful.

You could see into our bedroom from the road if you looked up. Or if the other blacksand villa's opened their windows they would be able to look directly into the room. The cushion out by the pool was almost always in the shade and wasn't able to be moved elsewhere.

It’s a beautiful villa. We loved every minute of our stay! Can’t imagine staying anywhere else when in Bali! The villa is also close to lots of amazing restaurants in Canggu. Perfect for families. We’re already planning our next stay!

Beautiful Villa in a Great Location - A Couple of Quirks

Aesthetically beautiful new villa, in a wonderful location. Friendly staff, who are happy to help & assisted us with an early check in at the last minute, which we were so grateful for & also stored our bags all day after check out prior to a late night departure 😊

There were bugs present, however not as many as have been described in other reviews. Could easily be resolved by adding/fixing seals on windows and doors. Recommend buying some Mozzie coils from Mini Mart if this is causing issues for you. We burnt some throughout our stay & hardly noticed any bugs. There are no full block out blinds in the bedroom, might need a sleeping mask if you like to sleep in 😛

Perfect location for Canggu

Fantastic location, perfect for walking and seeing everything within Canggu without needing transportation. The facilities were great (and well-kept especially given how new) and the pool was nice and private. Overall it was great value for money.

Arriving for the first time it was quite tricky to find the location as the signage to turn down the side alley was missing, but we found it eventually!

Decent place to stay in Canggu

The driver that picked us up from the airport and drove us back to the airport was great. He was a super lovely guy.

It was a noisy property. The neighbors were having parties nearly every night. The upstairs shower only worked if you had the sink tap on which was odd. The stairs leading up to the bed room were very short and narrow and I managed to fall down them a couple of times. Also only having one set of keys was a bit annoying for me and my partner. Also make sure you put the "do not disturb" on your door every night as house keeping came early most mornings and we were woken at 8:40am one of the mornings as they wanted to clean the villa.

Great stay if you're looking for something small and quiet with friendly staff!

The place was great and staff were amazing so friendly and helpful! 24 hour security was a bonus too! Would 100% recommend the stairs to the upstairs room are a bit steep so take that into consideration and the upstairs main bathroom windows were see through so if you have a villa that backs onto another villa's living room/pool be aware!

You could see through the upstairs window into the other villas shower! Copped an eyeful and then the guy put on a show hahaha!!!

Negative Points Shall Be Fixed

The modern and bohemian design of the villa is lovely, the staff were very friendly and the location is near all Canggu attractions.

The doors and windows are not sealed properly which allows insects and flies enter the property which really disturbed our stay in the villa. The water smell is bad it seems the water source is not totally clean. The privacy level at the swimming pool is not accepted people who want privacy for their families.
