Mai Chau Home Holiday

We initially planned to stay only a few days at Mai Chau Homestay but ended up staying longer because we simply felt so good there. The whole family is incredibly kind and welcoming. They really make you feel at home from the first day. We had dinner with them every evening, the food was always excellent and the breakfasts were delicious and very generous. But what made our stay really special were all the moments we shared with them. They invited us to join their family for lunch and we even had the chance to participate in the rice harvest with Hue's family. These are the kind of simple and unique experiences that you remember for a very long time. The accommodation was also great. We started with the simple room, which was very affordable but already clean and comfortable. As we decided to extend our stay, we moved to another room with a bit more comfort and were very happy with both. Mai Chau is beautiful, but this family is honestly what made our time there so special. We left with some of our best memories of Vietnam and of our trip so far. A place and a family we definitely won't forget.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful owner (for instance they helped me booking a bus to Moc chau very spontaneously, amazing dinner and a beautiful homestay. 10/10 experience.

such a good value for money! i liked the wide beds with mosquito tents in the dorm, bathroom was clean, there's even breakfast included, free bananas and water refill! Hue was so nice and helpful, too, and the family dinners were deliiiicious with loads of vegan options! there's also hammocks outside next to the rice fields, it was a great place to chill. Would definitely come again!

during the day it got quite hot in the dorm, since there's no AC, but it was okay with the fan, and at night it cooled down a bit

5 stars is not enough for this place. You get the resort treatment with the feeling of being part of the family. The food is delicious, from breakfast to their legendary family dinner that I would highly recomend. This hostel is so good that people staying at other places would come have a great time there.
