A large house which stands alone on a hillside with open views across farmland, hills and the sea. Relaxing and quiet location. The little flat is spotlessly clean, excellent shower. useful kichenette adequate for ready meals. perfect for a short break and would stay again. I enjoyed it being a short ferry ride away from the mainland; Bressay with it's green and gentle hillside farmland seemed a world away from grey granite Lerwick. I did not notice any burning effigies or virgin sacrifices ( I belive this practice ceasd in the 70s)

A bigger bed or option to have a twin room would have been better for us ( creaky & middle aged ). Kitchenette too small and sparsely equipped to do any proper cooking. No proper mugs ! ;( white things with straight sides that hold a half pint or more ), or practical glasses.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. The view onto farmland was lovely. The host was very helpful.

The ferry trip was only 7 minutes but it cost £19 for one return trip with a car. The advertised hot tub and sauna and continental breakfast were both available but only when pre-ordered at an added cost. We didn’t try the spa. We did try the £8 breakfast and it really was amazing. But the added costs make this a more expensive stay than we expected.

A beautiful, very comfortable apartment. Well placed for exploring the beautiful Island’s of Bressay and Noss.
