Our Vacation Rental I (for up to 2 people) measures 38 square meters and features a cozy bedroom as well as a private kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The entire apartment is on the first floor and has a patio door that provides direct access to the green space with garden furniture and sun loungers.
Welcome to the Weidengrund vacation rental, located right next to the spa town of Burg (Spreewald)!
The Weidengrund vacation rental is located on the Weidengrund farm and lies within the historic cultural landscape and Niedermohr (Zone 2) of the UNESCO Spreewald Biosphere Reserve. The scattered settlement of Burger and Byhleguhrer Kaupen is a protected landscape area.
Our Weidengrund farm invites you to discover the landscape of the Upper Spreewald. Here, you don’t just stay—you live with us on this farm, surrounded by nature, the gardens, the old trees, and the waterways. You’ll immerse yourself in the world of these Spreewald farms, seeing the old and new orchards around the log cabins and the small streams teeming with life.
Our farm is bordered by the Fünfte Fließ, which flows past towering alders. Several rare animal species, protected throughout Europe, also live right on the farmstead. If you’re lucky, you can spot otters and kingfishers both along the Fünfte Fließ and in our farm’s own ponds. Rare bats leave their tree hollows and summer roosts at dusk to hunt for insects. In the spring, fire-bellied toads let their clear, bell-like calls ring out from the still waters around the farm.
Our country-style vacation apartments await you on our typical Spreewald three-sided farmstead, located right on the bike and hiking trail.
On the terrace and in the adjacent courtyard and garden, you’ll find plenty of patio furniture, ample space to relax, and covered seating areas.Two large natural ponds not only invite you to observe the flora and fauna but also allow you to use your own fishing rod. Nearby bike and hiking trails offer excellent opportunities to explore the unique landscape of the Spreewald. The Spreewald Therme Burg is just a few minutes away.
To experience the Spreewald from the water, our in-house paddleboats are at your disposal.
Additionally, you can enjoy a romantic overnight stay in the old museum-style farmhouse parlor, just as it was 80 years ago.
OUR APARTMENTS:
Our Vacation Apartment I (for up to 2 people) is 38 square meters in size, featuring a cozy bedroom as well as a private kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The entire apartment is on one level and has a patio door providing direct access to the green space with garden furniture and sun loungers.
Vacation Rental II (for 2 to a maximum of 4 people) is 90 square meters and spans two levels, featuring a cozy living-sleeping area as well as a separate bedroom, its own kitchen, and a bathroom. The upper level of the apartment is particularly romantic, as the old wooden beams have been preserved and remain visible in the rooms.
We are helpful, friendly, and always happy to chat with our guests. We speak German, English, and Filipino, and we look forward to welcoming you!
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-out from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
