Gothic revival home built circa 1867 by the Reverend Cornelius VanDeventer. Peaceful place to wake up, have coffee on the outer brick patio, and do some bird watching.
Home is located in historic Museum Hill Area. Centrally located to downtown attractions. The Missouri Theater, restaurants, antique shops, and museums. Equipped with Wi-Fi, and a designated work space. Located 3.4 miles from Missouri Western State University. Home Of the Super-Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs training camp.

We loved the historical story of this home. It was homey and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. I will stay there again when visiting St Joseph.

This was our second stay in this charming historic home in less than two years, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The house is impressively well maintained given its age, and the host is incredibly friendly and responsive. It’s in a fantastic location for exploring the area—ideal for history lovers and anyone who appreciates classic architecture.
