La Smeraldina Resort

We booked this place specifically because of the pool, as we were coming from a very stressful situation and just wanted to relax for a couple of days before touring Sardinia. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we discovered the next day that the pool was unavailable due to a problem – apparently a toy was stuck in it. These things can happen, but what really made the situation unacceptable was the attitude of the staff. When we asked about it, instead of showing any understanding or offering an alternative, they responded very rudely and even told us to “ask the family who put the toy there for a refund.” That’s incredibly unprofessional and not the kind of service you expect when booking a place like this. Because the pool was unusable, we were forced to spend extra money going to local beaches, which we hadn’t planned for. Sardinia has beautiful beaches, yes, but the main reason we chose this accommodation was to relax by the pool before starting our tour. This whole experience left us with a very sour feeling. Between the lack of transparency, the unusable facilities, and the rude, unhelpful staff, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
