Americana Motor Hotel in Flagstaff near NAU & Downtown

Very cool place. Loved the decor.

Breakfast started later than we expected and we had to leave and pass up on our vouchers.

Loved the retro vibe. Clean, spacious room. Had Netflix and all channels available to sign into

No gym

A good location to seeing Flagstaff and fun 70s themed decor. We were welcomed with a cold beer when we arrived.

The room was a bit dusty; it didn’t feel totally clean. We had a breakfast voucher but food wasn’t available until after 7:30 when we were told it would open at 7:00. The lobby was not open at 8:15.

Decor, free breakfast

Drafty door i could hear the wind howl through all night, hair in shower at check in, not the most pleasant staff, lack of comfort items like adequate number of towels or spare role of TP When I arrived at 1:40 the front desk told me my room was ready but that I would have to pay an extra $20 if I wanted to check in before 2:00. I decided to wait the twenty minutes in the lobby while I watched her proceed to check in two other reservations with no mention of this extra fee. At 2:00 as I was walking up to the desk the phone rang and she proceeded to make a 10 minute long call for a group reservation. The whole exchange felt incredibly unwelcoming after dropping over $400 for two nights. I worked guest services for years at hotels and was always trained to focus on the people in front of you and place calls on hold. Anyways, the rest of the stay was ok, it rained all weekend so we couldn’t enjoy any of the outdoor amenities. At one point I tried to get a couple clean towels and brought my dirty ones to a housekeeper- she told me I’d have to wait until they were done being laundered but she had a whole stack of clean towels with her. Then she never brought me clean ones so we were without towels the next day. I usually stay at holiday inn type hotels not exactly luxury but come to expect a little extra that what was offered here for customer service… there were enough little frustrations that I wouldn’t return to this establishment.
