Villa Teresa

What an incredible find! We were so happy to have, technically, 2 villas. It worked perfectly for our group - the 4 teenagers had their own space and we had ours. (It would also be perfect for families taking the grandparents along). Aircon in the bedrooms was efficient. Both villas were immaculate, with decor I’d aspire to at home. The kitchens were modern and very well equipped, for anything you could imagine cooking. Absolutely adored the welcome basket. The garden is well kept, with lots of interesting things to discover - from grapes to pomegranates, and lots of wildlife to watch - swallows and eagles in the sky, lizards in the bushes etc. The teenagers played basketball and table tennis every day. The pool was perfect - we enjoyed lots of lazy time floating around on lilos, and the teenagers burnt off lots of energy messing around having races etc. (would feel awkward if they were doing that in a shared pool). The outdoor kitchen and BBQ was used daily and we really enjoyed dinner al fresco around the huge table. Really handy that there is a fridge and stove there too, plus all plastic crockery for use by the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, who were exceptionally responsive to any request we had. There’s a simple taverna a few mins walk away, and also a fruit & veg shop. Both very friendly. It was everything we wanted, and more - We loved it so much, we hope to go back next year.

Worth-noting 1: It is about 15 mins walk into Roda town. We had a car, so not an issue, but it might feel a lot further walking in the heat of the sun. We walked it a few times in the evening and it was fine. It’s on a main road, but we are not talking about London traffic! We weren’t disturbed by car noise and we never had to wait to cross the road - it’s really not busy. That said, if you have a car, it’s a perfect location for getting around - Sidari is 10mins in one direction, and Acharavi is 10mins in the other. Worth-noting 2: If you want to go to a “Greek night” in town, you need to book in advance in high season. They’re very popular. In general, loads of great restaurants to choose from, and lots of big supermarkets for when you prefer to eat at home.

Very peaceful, good kitchen with a lot of utensils, nice pool and garden! The hosts are nice!

Water pressure wasn't very high, but was enough. We had a small problem with the toilet flush, but the hosts were very attentive and promptly offered to go there and fix it.

A hidden oasis - beautiful pool and gardens and everything really well thought out

The property has 2 bathrooms with a half size bath and shower. It would have been nice to have a walk-in shower.

Bel extérieur avec piscine agréable, transats, cuisine extérieure. Maison annexe (1 chambre) plutôt moderne. Hôte sympathique et réactif. Propreté impeccable.

Nous avons été très déçus par la maison principale, l’ensemble de la maison est vieux et sombre, bien que l’hôte a tenté de décorer. Le pire c’est le salon : pas de luminosité, impossible d’ouvrir les fenêtres qui donnent sur un claustrât (jardin des voisins), aucune vue sur le jardin donc vraiment pas pratique avec des enfants, nous avons eu l’impression d’étouffer dans cette maison… Les photos sont clairement trompeuses ! L’isolation phonique est mauvaise, on entend les voisins comme si on habitait avec eux. De plus, la route à côté est bruyante, c’est gênant dans le jardin mais aussi dans les chambres de la maison principale. Et pour conclure le tout, nous avons eu des problèmes d’eau chaude, il fallait redémarrer la chaudière a fuel avant chaque douche…
