It is a good enough base to explore the south-west Iceland. The apartment was large enough. Plenty of space. Good bed. The hot water had a bit of sulphur smell. I was told that this is normal. Although I don't remember any smell when I stayed in a hotel in town during my previous visit. Communications with the host were fast. Easy checkin/checkout.
It is a "sleepy" part of the town, so there isn't much around. The best place is really the public hot pool nearby. Although, while we were there (in October), they closed the whole wing with saunas for maintenance (obviously, not a fault of this property, just FYI). Don't know when they plan to open them again.

The apartment was nice, in a good location with beautiful views. It had everything that we needed. Check in process was flawless. Highly recommended
Be aware that it was extremely hot in the apartment and only way to lower the temperature is to open the windows. We would also suggest to put some chairs on the balcony so guests can spend some time outside.

The apartment is absolutely clean with fantastic view. The host tried her best to be accommodating to those who flew in early.
The neigbour's window is near the main bed, and you need to keep the curtain/shade down all the time. The lift needs getting used to. This is not a reflection on the host but it seems to be a common practise in Iceland - the check-in and check-out timing leave a lot to be desired if you are staying for one day, especially if you fly in early and leaving in the evening. You don't have the luxury to enjoy the apartment at all.

It has a nice view
It was too hot, the windows were not isolated one could hear the street or as it happened to us there was a party near by we were not able to sleep that night
