Very good location and rooftop terrace

Excellent location, short walk from the ferry which takes you over to Valletta. Nice, quiet area away from the frenzy of Valletta but, close enough to get to the action in a short time. Several cafes/restaurants close by and a convenience store just a stroll away. Bus stop also a short distance away. Bolt taxi cost €8 from Valletta ferry area back to the property and €15 from the property to the airport. The townhouse is located on the most beautiful side street up steep stone steps. It’s a challenge to get suitcases up and down the steps but, definitely worth it for the lovely location. Watching the video of how to find the property which I was sent prior to our visit, helped enormously in finding the property. Very spacious property which could easily accommodate 6 people but, ideally suited to 2 friends or 2 couples in my opinion. Lovely roof terrace with stunning views over the harbour to Valletta. Perfectly situated for watching the annual fireworks festival or sitting outside of an evening. Comfortable beds and good air conditioning in the bedrooms. Hand wash, washing up liquid and a sponge were provided. Plenty of toilet roll to last the week for two people.

No dishwasher tablets provided and no cloth to wipe work surfaces. Also, kitchen roll would’ve been useful. Cleanliness was good but, not top-rate. I found a false nail on the floor of my bedroom and around the shower screen was dusty. Toilet bowls had staining. The shower rail over the bath was broken and didn’t hold the shower on so was impossible to use; luckily there is another shower downstairs so my friend who had that room went downstairs to shower. Both the shower tray in the en-suite and the bath when showering were slippery in use and non-slip mats are needed. Sofas need replacing/repairing as the seats have no support and are uncomfortable to sit in. Too much stuff left in the wardrobes limited the amount of space to put our clothes and other things away. The cheap shelving units look awful and aren’t in keeping with the aesthetic of the property.

Well equipped and well situated

Extremely cold kitchen. We did our best to warm the bottom floor up but it was difficult. Also, the wardrobes smelled a bit moldy. When we were in Malta it was rainy and cold.
