Location was good and 15-20 minutes locations to boat rides to castles and a few cute towns. Inn that acted as a B&B which I enjoyed. When arrived they met you, showed you around property and gave you glass of wine & charcuterie board, which thought was a nice touch.
Our room needed little more tlc however the rest of property inside where you could walk around in common areas was nicely decorated.
Would have liked more pamphlets of places to visit.

Beautiful,historic property. Great owners, great staff. Excellent breakfast and the greeting with a glass of wine and a charcuterie board, was nice touch and an unexpected surprise. Definitely going back with friends.

The facility itself is an integral part of the gilded age ambiance of the 1000 Islands. The Hart House was built on Boldt Island then moved to its present location after it was found to be too small. The proprietors have dressed the House in period themes but upgraded all the mechanicals to modern-day standards. This is not a chain hotel and the staff treated us like old friends.
We got there at a time when almost every restaurant in town and on the island was closed. Covid, the economy, the Quebec forest fires all conspired against us. Still, we found nice places but had to travel a little.
