Very convenient location next to the airport but would recommend it only for one day. Not so clean, the breakfast was quite bad. The staff was very friendly and happy to help. Didn’t like the fact that l had to give a deposit - these are practices from the previous century.

This was our first time in Laos and the behavior of the ST Wattay Airport Hotel staff has left us with an incredibly positive view of Laotians. The hotel was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the meals we purchased from the kitchen. It was very fun to watch the Mekong River float by as well as seeing on the development going on. We did have trouble finding working ATMs (not a hotel issue) so we wished that we had seen the ATMs in the Airport so we could withdraw LAK. Hotel staff and a nearby Big C were happy to let us pay with either USD or Thai Baht. Special note to *** who was working the front desk when we were departing. She ran downstairs and stopped the shuttle to make sure we could grab a ride rather than waiting in reception. The shuttle was going to be waiting for an arrival so we might have been sitting in reception for an hour or so. It was very rainy so we wanted to avoid the short walk to the airport. Was very touched that *** chose to do that for us without being asked.

The hotel is next to the airport. Very convenient.

Staff are very rude and unwelcoming. The security guard took my bag and key card unprompted into my room and demanded a tip. Very scary.
