Close to the train station, walking distance to the main shopping street and restaurants. What you see is what you get. No towels but were provided with disposable ones at least. Some rooms have AC issues that I hope they would fix especially on Summer season. Other than that, I’d still recommend it.

This was one of the most social and best hostels I’ve stayed in China. Nice value for the money.

First the good; -location is very central, easy to access everything you want. - nice bar, small bottles of beer for 16¥. Good vibe in the evenings - friendly staff -rooms were a good temperature so long as the guests stopped turning the AC off or shutting the windows - had umbrella to borrow for free at the reception -bunk was ok for comfort and privacy - washing laundry is free - free soap in the showers -check in and check out was easy -there is a very cute and friendly cat in the lobby The negatives; - the area around the hostel is good if you love shopping, not good if you want to experience local bars / cheap restaurants. -we are a M/F couple and we were told we could not have bunks in the same room. This was not advertised on the booking. Quite annoying! - it is a big hostel, so many rooms full of bunks and it felt like most of those people are students and people who work living in the hostel. Pretty sure the guy in the bunk below me had been there for some time with all their clothes on a rail in the room. It also means that the room had a lot of stuff in there, rice cookers, washing up bowls…This is not in itself a bad thing, but it does mean the hostel does not have a ‘traveller’ or ‘backpacker’ vibe. - the men’s toilet and showers on level 4 stink of smoke. And one morning there was ash and cigarette butts on the floors. I saw the poor cleaner constantly working hard, So it’s not a lack of effort but perhaps some of the guests lacking any respect for the building and other guests. - the ‘gym’ is not much to celebrate. - the dorms could have better ventilation, it was not a fresh smell in there. Especially as some of the guests seem to spend all day in there scrolling (volume on) and taking calls. - when we checked out at around 5am the music in the lobby area was at full volume, quite uncomfortable. - bunk had a dead fly and blood trail (the fly’s blood) on the ceiling of the pod, and weird brown ish stains in another area. I had to clean it. So clearly not much attention paid to the pods other than clean bedding. - no laundry dryers, only a drying room which was so full I don’t understand how anything could have dried in there.
