Pet Friendly Cottage With Waterviews

Water views from the front deck were great. Short stroll to the waterfront. Cottage is very spacious and suits the purpose.

I just wish l could find a holiday rental property with a decent frying pan, the pan in the cottage(as l find almost everywhere)was scratched, discoloured and not that clean. Couldn’t the frying pan be replaced on a regular basis?

It was pet friendly and the cottage was as described. It is old but nothing that matters yet. It was clean and tidy. The rooms were a good size and the hot water was good. The kitchen is fine with a good size dining table if there's a group. You can stand on the verandah and see the water but the railing is in the way if you sit. The cottage is not advertised as disability friendly but we require the use of a walker and found it fairly navigable. A swing in the front yard and a closable fence.

The rather large/high steps at the front of the house and inside that lead to the bathroom. We left the toilet light on in case we had to go in the night. The front lawn is non existent but that's probably a combination of no rain and tree shade but there is a beach shower that should probably have a large paver or something under it and to the steps so when you wash the sand off it doesn't come inside. The gate and fence is in need of repair and may soon fall down if treated roughly. Nothing to do with the accommodation but you cannot take your dog on the beach anywhere near the cottage. There are big signs everywhere. You have to walk about 30 minutes to locate a beach where you can take dogs on leash and access the water by ramp. It is a four minute drive but good luck getting a park on a busy day. There is nowhere else on the island suitable for movement impaired people.
