Ferienhaus Waldorf

Old house with modern twist This place totally exceeded our expectations. I was looking for a house in the area within maximum 20 min of driving from my brother’s town. My only request was a nice and comfortable place with a good internet connection that can fit 5 people for 10 days. Ferienhaus Waldorf was a pretty new listing on Booking without any reviews. I contacted the property with our requests before providing a full payment, and Anja from Ferienhaus Waldorf team replied right away with their confirmation. When we arrived, we found that our rental home was a nice old building but with very good renovation inside. Later on I tried to google the history of this town, and it looks like the history of this building is going back to the end of 19th century. Very often, you rentals look so good on pictures, but in the reality they are not as expected. Here we had completely the opposite situation. It’s a three-story building, very well furnished, and we found everything that we needed inside and outside - comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living rooms, terrace with outdoor furniture, and even a gym. My husband had to work remotely while we were on our vacation, so he had his own ‘office’ on the first floor (actually the coolest area in the house) where he was able to work and even take naps. But what impressed me the most were some gifts left for us by the owner family - a lot of local yummy treats. They prepared for the guests very thoroughly - placed candies in the kids’ rooms, board games, markers, coloring books and many other things. During these 10 days we felt at home actually even though we were thousands of miles away from it. Even indoor and outdoor plants gave us a ‘home’ feeling, and we took care and watered them with pleasure. I wish we can come back to this old German house in a few years again.

Eine sehr ruhige Lage. Ideal für Menschen, die sich wirklich erholen wollen und durch Spaziergänge Ruhe finden möchten. Es ist aber nicht weit nach Bingen oder Rüdesheim. Ebenfalls nach Bad Kreuznach. Also sehr gut an der Autobahn 61 gelegen.

Herzlicher Empfang mit gedeckten Tisch, Kuchen, Obst und Wurst und Bier. Waren sehr positiv überrascht. Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet mit Handtücher, Toilettenpapier…

Es gibt keinen Grund irgendwas zu bemängeln 😁

Ich war noch nie vorher in einer so liebevoll vorbereiteten Unterkunft. Kuchen zum Empfang, kuscheldecken für jeden und ein wunderbar großes Haus, in dem wir alle Platz hatten.

Leider waren wir zu kurz da…. Wir hatten das Haus für uns und meine Eltern gebucht, da wir auf einer Familienfeier im Ort waren. Daher hatten wir leider nicht genug Zeit, um die wundervolle Dachtetrasse ausgiebig zu nutzen oder in der Küche zu kochen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit frisch gebackenem Kuchen, gedecktem Tisch, Fleischwurst im Kühlschrank und frischem Baguette empfangen. Auch war alles da, was man mit Kleinkind braucht: Bettchen, Wickelunterlage, Decke, Töpfchen, Spielecke… Und nicht zu vergessen sind natürlich die stilvolle Einrichtung und der voll ausgestattete Fitnessraum. Wir wollen in jedem Fall wieder kommen!

Heel netjes en schoon. Heel gastvrij ontvangen. Echt een fijn huisje met een mooi dakterras. Ruime kamers. Prachtige badkamer met heerlijk bad!

Klein nadeel is de harde matrassen, maar dat kan per persoon verschillen.

Die Lage war sehr gut für uns.

Die Ausstattung lässt aus unserer Sicht keine Wünsche offen. Es gibt sogar ein komplettes Fitnessstudio!!!!! Als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Wanderung sehr gut geeignet. Für einen Restaurantbesuch benötigt man allerdings ein Auto.

Der erste Eindruck wenn man in den Hof fährt ist verbesserungsfähig.
