Welcome to The Rock - A Unique Mountain Experience!
The Rock is a distinctive mountain retreat set on 8 private acres in the Lodges at Eagles Nest, one of the most desirable communities in the North Carolina High Country. This exceptional multi-million-dollar home offers sweeping 270-degree, long-range layered mountain views framed by dramatic natural rock outcroppings.
The home features three private king bedrooms, a separate bunk area with two twin-over-twin bunk beds, plus one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper sofa, offering flexible accommodations for families and groups.
Blending relaxed rustic elegance with refined Mountain Modern design, The Rock showcases massive exposed timbers, rich wood and stonework, and thoughtfully curated décor throughout. The main living area is warm and inviting, anchored by a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, expansive mountain views, and a large flat-screen TV. The open floor plan connects seamlessly to a gourmet kitchen equipped with Viking appliances and spacious granite countertops—ideal for preparing meals for the entire group.
Indoor living extends effortlessly outdoors to expansive wrap-around decks and a walk-out lower-level patio featuring a covered dining area, grilling space, and an in-ground hot tub—perfect for enjoying the mountain setting year-round.
Sleeping accommodations are thoughtfully arranged across three levels. The primary king bedroom on the main floor enjoys grand mountain views. Upstairs are two additional king bedrooms and a dedicated office area with access to a covered upper-level balcony. The lower level is designed for entertainment and relaxation, featuring a theater and game room with a big-screen TV, ample seating, a wood-burning fireplace, and a pool table. This level also includes a full bathroom, the bunk area, along with the queen sleeper sofa and twin sleeper sofa, allowing the home to comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests.
Located just minutes from the charming mountain village of Banner Elk, guests are close to exceptional dining, boutique shopping, and year-round outdoor activities. Nearby Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain, and Boone further enhance the experience. In winter, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain ski resorts are a short drive away.
Eagles Nest Newest Addition: Epic Chophouse! - As a renter in the community, you will have access to this great venue. When at the restaurant, mention you are a renter in Eagles Nest for admittance. Please note, that Owners of the Eagles Nest Community will have priority seating at this restaurant so please be aware of this ahead of your arrival to the venue.

Please note all visitors on the premises at the winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.
Important Notes:
- Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.
- This property is pet friendly for a max of 2 dogs; additional pet fees apply.
- Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is by 10 AM.
- All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals, please visit the Off-Road Adventures website.
- Guest accepts responsibility for caring for outdoor furniture during reservation. Furniture must be covered when not in use.
- Guests can add firewood for Additional Fees on the website or by calling our office.
- Please note that The Rock has wireless internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
- AWD/4WD vehicles are required for our mountain homes during winter and inclement weather. In heavy snow, chains may also be necessary to access the property.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)
- The summer concerts are open to all guests. However, there is an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.

The Rock is a beautiful house and has great views without a doubt. However, it needs some upkeep on the inside and out. The house wasn't as clean as we'd hoped, the outside furniture had tears in the cushions and was soaking wet when we arrived, so we couldn't enjoy as much of the outside as we wanted except for the two chairs that were under the covered part of the house. The hot tub worked well and we enjoyed it. Lot's of weeds in the beds around the house made it appear like no one had been there to do any outside upkeep in months. The outside grill had parts laying around on the rocks, which gave me the impression that it wasn't working and there were several exterior lights not working. We did call the Rental Mgmt company and they did a good job of addressing the cleanliness, bought a new rug to cover an old one that was very dirty and they replaced all the lightbulbs they could. We'd go back, but we'd ask for all this to be done in advance next time. Great community, loved it!
