About this farm stay rental
House on the Hill has been completely restored. Located in Newbury, NH on 37 acres and EVERYTHING IS NEW! Sits atop a hill with picturesque mountain views. 4 bedrooms (6 beds) all on the second floor (2 with TV's). Master bedroom hosts a queen size bed (sleeps 2), TV, its own bathroom with a walk in shower and double vanity. Second bedroom (sleeps 2-3) has a full size bed with a twin bunk over it (bunk rated for child). Third bedroom has a queen bed (sleeps 2) and views of the mountains and the fourth bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin (sleeps 2-3) also with a TV and views of the mountains. There are two large living rooms on the first floor-w/smart TV's- there is ample room to spread out. Living room #1 has a full size couch, loveseat and a chair. Living room #2 has a full size couch, 2 chairs, a bench and a slider out to the patio. The kitchen has 2 bars and a large farmhouse table, granite counter tops and all new appliances. There are 3 full bathrooms, 1 on the first floor and 2 upstairs. Outside there is a fire pit, patio and another seating area so you can sit and relax, play some lawn games-corn hole provided or just take in the gorgeous views. Close to Mt Sunapee/Lake Sunapee, adventure park, beach-10 mins, Golf, Sutton, New London and Henniker-15-20 mins. Concord and Hanover-45 mins. Hiking right out your door! Property is close to the Greenway trial, Andrew Brook, Lucas Lookout among many others. Many restaurants within 5-10 minute drive. If you enjoy a large yard, views and a country setting but not too far from restaurants and things to do, this is your place!

We had booked for an after Christmas ski get away. The property was everything that we hoped for. The owners were available and very thoughtful and attentive. Mother Nature decided to send us a serious ice storm however. Sadly, we did not get to ski, but we hunkered down in the charming and snug farmhouse to play games, paint with watercolors, (we brought) watch movies, read and engage with each other. The owners checked on us frequently and sanded the icy driveway several times. We came home rested and with happy memories. We would return in a heartbeat! If you have teens, I would suggest taking a few age appropriate games to fill in the choices. Very family friendly, and immaculate. Fortunately, we took a lot of groceries as it really wasn’t safe to venture out in the storm.

Property had great views and was close to a lake. Our stay was great and house came with most things you would need. My party had a great time. Host was also good with communication.
