About this apartment rental
This roomy 2 bedroom apartment has been fully updated into a clean and pleasant space. It has one king bedroom and one Queen bedroom, each containing their own smart TV, closets, dressers and USB-compatible bedside lambs for all your devices. All the kitchen appliances are new stainless steel and there is a new washer and dryer in the designated laundry closet. The kitchen steps out onto a stamped concrete patio and a large terraced back lawn with your own firepit to take in the starry nights. The living room is large enough for your entire party and includes a pull-out sofa for additional guests. The newly updated bathroom is centrally located within the unit and has a custom-tiled shower. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the building, just several feet from state route 414 known as the Seneca Lake wine trail. Being on the wine trail affords you easy access to all the local wineries, breweries and restaurants in addition to easy commutes to Watkins Glen, Ithaca, the Finger Lakes National forest and Seneca Lake. Place was immaculate. We appreciated the no shoes policy as it was a huge factor for why it was so clean. Was nice having a washer and dryer. Kitchen was well stocked with almost anything you might need. Only thing we couldn't find was a pair of scissors, but we made do. We also appreciated the gas grill. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of closet/drawer space for a longer stay like ours (5 nights). For older people (like us) that aren't technologically savvy, the heat/air and TV were a challenge, but again we made do and figured it out eventually. This rental is in a great location to many waterfalls/state parks, which was our main focus on this vacation. Scenic drives were nice when we did travel out of Burdett. We would definitely recommend this property. Only recommendation to the owners is to put felt or some other material on the kitchen cupboards so that they aren't so noisy when closing. We stayed in the end unit, and our neighbors were very respectful, but you could still hear kitchen cupboards closing occasionally. It was not very loud and did not cause us any problems but since the cupboards aren't soft close, possibly you could come up with another solution to cut down on the noise. The bottoms of the kitchen chairs could also use some felt pads to not only cut down on noise but to protect the beautiful floors! We would highly recommend this VRBO rental. It was by far the nicest, cleanest place we have ever stayed. Would give it 10 stars!

We had a great stay. Property was clean and spacious. The beds were pretty firm, but we managed. We took advantage of the fire pit. We couldn’t quite figure out how to get the HVAC to work properly. I would highly recommend this property! Stayed October 2025.
